gorgeous!
thin posts but no big deal, and butterfly backings were secure. no "patina" on mine-- mine were very clear and the trillion-cut really does catch the light, even in a dim room. i've ordered "swiss blue" topaz earrings before, from another retailer but found them to be a disappointing baby-blue..or some blue topaz stones turned out to be "sky blue" ones, that are more reminiscent of aquamarine...pretty but nearly colorless (minus the greenish tint that aquamarines do have). these earrings are lighter in person than the stock picture on my monitor, at least, but are hardly colorless and are like a slightly lighter-toned swiss blue topaz! really gorgeous and i agree with many of the other reviewers that i was surprised by the size in a good way! i like wearing these with my 14k blue diamond studs that i also got from o.co...the two yellow golds and different blues alongside each other are really great!
- How did the image on site compare with the actual product? slightly lighter in color but not the pale, nearly colorless "sky" topaz...closer to swiss blue!
- How accurate was the sizing? very accurate...but pleasantly surprised by the size in person!
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. terrific...posts were a bit long to me, but will be great for anyone with thicker earlobes!

Good, Not Great
The earings are simply stunning to look at, but under the surface there are some problems. First off, the earings really shine and look stunning when worn. However, the hardware holding the stones is quite cheap and flimsy. The locking mechanism is poorly made and we had to take them to a jeweler to ensure they wouldn't fall off. The stones have a slight "patina", which was not made clear by the stock photo overstock chose. They also come in a pretty shoddy packaging. But, everyone seems happy enough and the price was right. Go for it.

Nice cut for topaz
I will say these things just sparkle. I loved the color it is just clear and just glows. The blue is just wonderful, there is no way anyone will miss these.The trillion cut is just beautiful, it is cut to make it shine and it does.I would recommend them, but for the price they should have added a better clip. They put so much into the stone but the post and clip always seems to be alittle cheap. They are held in tight but I'm sure you will need a new clip to hold on to it. Seem to be a childrens size on such a nice adult stone.They are a nice size also. Just a perfect fit, not to large to strain your ear and not to small that you can't see them.
