I purchased two packs of three to give as a gift to each of my bridesmaids. Five out of six of the pairs of pearl earrings have marks on the pearl. This is unacceptable. It's not as though they are genuine freshwater pearls, they are cultured, therefore there is no reason why they shouldn't be in excellent condition. Also, the post on some of the pairs is coming out of the pearl. These are cheaply made. I thought that I was getting a great deal, but I was wrong. I would be embarrassed to hand these out as gifts to anyone. Needless to say, these are going to back to Overstock.

The luster and color are very nice for the price on all three sets of pearl studs that I received. I am a big jewlery fan and have bought pearls for many years. I couldn't find my millimeter gauge to check that the size was accurate, but it seemed to be. One set of earrings seemed to be a mismatch (one stud slightly smaller than the other). But I am very picky about jewelry and I doubt that anyone would notice, especially when they are in your ears! I am not 100% sure that these are Akoyas. But if they are freshwater pearls, they are very round. If you look at Overstock's 6 mm and 7mm bulk pearl stud earring sets, the picture seems to be the same as these 8mm stud sets, BUT THOSE ARE DESCRIBED AS FRESHWATER NOT AKOYA PEARLS. The gold mount for the earrings is smaller and a little more flimsy than that shown for Overstock's Akoya pearl stud earrings. Generally, Akoyas should sell for more than freshwater, so that would affect how great a value these are. I wish someone at Overstock would clarify this. But again, I am very particular about jewelry. And I think that most anyone (unless you are the pickiest of pearl conoisseurs) would find these to be beautiful earrings.

I bought these after my sister bought the same set. They looked so beautiful and classic on her and the price was unbelievable so I got them as well. They are really great earrings, just the right size (which is on the larger size, they are not teeny little pearls) and a good color. I haven't even started on the other two pairs I received which I suppose will be back ups in case I lose one. Or maybe presents if I can bring myself to part with them.

i brought the set as a Xmas present for me, my mom and my sister...three matching pairs of pearls for the three women in the family. The pearls are beautiful and all were the same size, luster, and absolutely flawless...couldn't tell the difference between individual pearls. The only problem is Overstock shipped it in PLASTIC BAGS!!! And I had to go to a jewelry store and buy a box for the pearls...Overstock should really look into offering nice jewlery boxes for their purchases as an option

previously, i only had experience giving fresh water pearls, which are very nice. this is the first time i got cultured pearls as gifts for people, and WOW! CULTURED PEARLS ARE GORGEOUS! these akoya pearls are stunning, with an inner glow that i never saw in pearls before.

I am satisfied with this purchase. I bought set of three pearl earrings. good sized pearl and good value but not satisfied with workmanship. Overall a good value.

I was pleasantly surprised at how lustrous these earrings are and how round and perfect (no blemishes) these appear. Also they are quite large and the colors all match perfectly. However, the sizes of the pearls are all a little different, and I traded among the various pairs to make three new pairs that are better matched in size. I recommend these highly. The last pearls I ordered from Overstock.com I returned as they were horrible. These are just the opposite.

I was very pleased when I received these. Each pair was well matched on size, shape, color and luster. Surface of the pearl was very smooth, no discernible spots or marks. There is a very small touch of pink in the color of two pairs. I rate these excellent for value and appearance, although I do want to remark that two of the pairs are closer to 7-7.5mm than 8-8.5. I have a pair of 8-8.5 and even the largest pair of the three was noticeably smaller. Each pair comes in a red "O" gift box.

I love pearls. They are my favorite. These pearl earrings are flawless. The pearls are identically shaped, colored and the finish is very lustrous. It's a great value item.

Simple is best. These Akoya pearl earrings look great and they didn't cost a fortune. I adore them. I will be wearing them for many years. They are timeless.
