I purchased this chain for my boyfriend and have been disappointed with the item. It is very light and flimsy. Poor workmanship overall. The spring clasp broke within a few short months and I had to take it to my jeweler to have them replace the clasp with a stronger lobster clasp. A week after having the clasp replaced, the chain itself broke. I would strongly discourage you from ordering this item.

I purchased this necklace as a Christmas gift for my mom. She received it in the mail within 2 days, much quicker than I expected so I hadn't told her to look out for it. When she opened the package, she was not at all dazzled. Not knowing the gift was from me, she told me that she had received a package from Overstock that had a necklace as thin as a thread. When I saw it, I also thought it would be a little thicker, even after reading the other reviews. After she wore it for a couple of weeks, it began to pull apart. We are going to have to do something - either exchange or upgrade to a thicker piece of jewelry. Overall, I would call this average - not terrible, but also not to die for ether.

This is a beautiful necklace! The workmanship is fantastic, and the quality of the necklace is obvious. It has a beautiful sheen, and I haven't found a (small) pendant yet that doesn't look wonderful on it. With that said, I would have given it a perfect 5-star rating except for the fact that it is a hair-puller and a lint collector. There is probably nothing that annoys me more about a necklace than when it repeatedly catches hair, and, unfortunately, this necklace catches hair often. My hair is not long by any stretch of the imagination either. It sits above shoulder-length, but the necklace is constantly catching my hair, which ends up wound around the necklace tight enough that I have to yank my hair out of my head to avoid breaking the necklace. I have to do this several times a day, and it is annoying, to say the least. It's also a lint collector. When I take it off and hold it to the light, there are small pieces of lint attached to it from my shirts, and none of my shirts are of the fuzzy type--they're simple 100% cotton shirts, but the necklace manages to end up with a ton of lint on it anyway. Despite my displeasure with these two flaws, I would still buy the necklace again, because it is a beauty, which makes putting up with its flaws more worthwhile. I would also still recommend it to a family member or friend, but with a warning about its hair-pulling and lint-collecting tendencies. If you can live with these two attributes, by all means, buy one!

Looks more expensive than it is. Lovely sheen. My daughter-in-law will love it.

I purchased two, one for myself, and one for a friend. The links are very smooth, the ending fits most bails of pendants. I bought it ti replace those flimsy ones you get when you buy a pendant. I also bought the w/g one as well as I have many pendant inw/g. I bought this on the recommendation of someone else's review here. I think a man bought it for his wife and said it worked out well for her. It is good to wear even as a chain w/o anything on it. I would recommend it as it is smooth and feels strong enough for those pendants.

I received this necklace a few weeks ago and I have been wearing it since! It looks great, bright and shiny. It feels good on my neck too. Sometimes it does catch the hair on the back of my neck but not too often to be annoying!

Alone or with a pendant this chain really stands out. I bought two of these chains, one thats 24 inches and another one thats 20 inches. I was really disappointed when I got them since I thought they would be a little more thicker but when I tried them on I had a total change of thought. Its probally about .08mm, maybe .06? A wonderful chain nonetheless I decided to keep them because they look and feel wonderful. A great price too!

I was very pleased with this chain, so pleased, that this is the second one I have purchased! I purchased the first in a different length and was impressed with the overall value. When I found myself needing a longer length chain for something else I immediately thought of the pretty little 18-inch I happened to be wearing and knew it would be perfect. It lays flat against the skin. I don't even know I have it on. I find it is wonderful for smaller pendants and crosses. I have my little bible on one and my mom's cross on the other. It doesn't over-power or take away from either. The price could not be beat. I saw the same size and weight advertised for $33.00 more somewhere else - and that was their sale price! I love a bargain! I love this pretty little chain!

I wanted an understated gold necklace to accent other gold jewelry. Its very easy for gold to get overpowering. The chain is slender and beautifully made.

I love the feel and the appearance of this necklace. The closer could be safer, but I have not had a problrem as yet. It will fit most of my pendant type necklaces which was the reason for this purchase.

I need to replace a similar necklace and this one was the best price and best looking.

this necklace is very shiny gold and the links are strong so that it will hold up to everyday wear. the length is perfect for those who don't like chokers. i bought it to replace a flimsy chain on a pendant i bought here, and it is a perfect fit and looks great. excellent value for price.
