I think I made a good selection though it was much thicker than what I needed

Not too shabby. Obviously, I was suspicious that it would tarnish or the gold plating would waer off, but so far it's done well. Got it as a gift for my brother, and he thinks it's awesome! The clasp stuck at first, but a good hard tug got it to work, and there've been no problems since.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. When he opened it, he initially questioned if it was too shiny or long, but once he put it on, he's barely taken it off. It is a nice thick chain with a decent weight to it. This was an excellent value since it is so substantial and attractive, but came for a very low price compared to what I saw in other places. My husband was actually concerned when he first put it on that I had spent too much money (little does he know that it was a steal!).

I was very pleased and impressed with this necklace, the size [thickness] is larger than it looks in the picture. Have gotten numerous compliments from my friends.
