pretty stone
The color of the stone is beautiful and it looks very nice on the neck. the chain is flimsy and tangles easily. I bought this to go with a pair amethyst earrings I'd gotten as a gift and the dark rich purple of the pendant goes perfectly with the earnings. I am happy with it.

The necklace is beautiful; the chain is thin, dangerously thin. I highly suggest another chain if you purchase the necklace.The amethyst was is not as dark as pictured..

Beautiful Stone and Setting
This is a beautiful pendant. The color and clarity of the Amethyst was exactly as pictured in the photo. The actual pendant setting is well mounted and the setting for the stone is very well done. The stone sits securely in it's setting and the color saturation from the faceting in the stone is beautiful. The Chain is not the prettiest, but it to is exactly as shown in the picture. For the elegance of the stone, the chain could be a little fancier, but all in all, this is a great buy if you want a dark amethyst.

Impressed
This is a good piece of jewelry. Buy it for the pendant though, not the chain (why it only gets 4 stars). The pendant itself is very nice, good sized and a deep shade of purple. Chain is thin, but good enough.
