I purchased this ring with high hopes it was a good value. When I received it and opened the box it was initially beautiful. During the week I waited to give it to my fiancé, the diamond began to show a large black mark inside it. it grew over the course of days and was absolutely horrible. You could see this black mark, which resembled a large cavity in a tooth, from several feet away. I returned the ring, which cost me $$ after the insurance and shipping. I had to wait several days for the ring to be inspected before a refund was credited to my credit card. I have since purchased a ring from a reputable jeweler who informed me this was an "imperfect diamond" which means it had a crack or cavity in it and it was filled. The filling material either turned black or fell out. it should have been disclosed that this was an imperfect diamond. I understand this wasn't a 10 grand ring but be honest on what you're selling. In the end I'm out the $$ bucks to ship it back and had to wipe egg off of my face. Buyer Beware!! These are imperfect diamonds, Google it and you will learn more.
If all you wanted to do was be able to say you gave your girl a 1 carat diamond, then this is definitely the ring for you. The setting is very nice and very feminine, which is what my girlfriend wanted, but the diamond has absolutely NO sparkle whatsoever. The cut looks very nice on it, but the color is closer to M-N than an I-J. It is very cloudy looking, almost to the point of being opaque. Light doesn't want to pass through it and the surfaces definitely aren't reflective. I would equate it to a piece of frosted beach glass. In general, I am very disappointed in this ring. I purchased my soon-to-be fiances promise ring three years ago on here as well and the diamond on this ring doesn't even remotely stand up to the ones on it when they are side by side -- and the diamonds on it were supposedly the same grade. Returning this one and getting a better one somewhere else.
