14k White Gold 1/2ct TDW Princess Diamond Solitaire Necklace (I-J, I1-I2)

Bought this for xmas for my gf since she is a "sparkly" lover like most girls. :) and she had like a 1/4 carat necklace from her last bf and I wasn’t about to let her keep wearing that around or be outdone, so I was looking for a nice necklace with a diamond at least twice as big without blowing a grand. I found it in this, and it is an awesome diamond, she wears it every day now. The only downside to this was the chain, which looks elegant and shiny and white-goldish in the pictures, but it IS NOT. Its a very flat, dull kind of steel chain link look. Its also very short, so it fit in on my gf's neck with maybe an inch to spare (riding right up against her neck). I was very displeased with this and we ended up going to our local Mati' store and buying a much nicer, thicker 18k gold chain for about $400 (so much for < a grand) but together, its now a dynamite necklace, perfect for any occasion (not too big, not too small to not get noticed). She likes it, I like it, shes happy so Im happy. I'd buy it again, just throw away the chain.

• How accurate was the sizing? Pretty close, its always hard to tell with these type of things. I think they should hold it up to a quarter or penny to give people a better idea of size.
