The stones and posts on these earrings are very impressive. The screw on backs are better than the ones on my wife's diamonds that I paid a lot more for. My only complaint is that the setting is very long & sticks out quite a ways. These were definately made for a woman to wear. I will eventually have the setting shortened, but for right now I have just been screwing the backs on tight so that they don't stick out so far. My wife loved them & has been hinting that I buy her the ct pair on this site. A quality product from overstock as usual.

Granted, the earrings are only .5 ct total weight, but the picture looks so good . . . these earrings are TINY! I choked when I saw them; my wife laughed (thank God!). I've generally had good luck finding nice jewelry here, but that was m second bad experience . . . the pictures mis-represent the product.

Bought these for my son 2 years ago. Not blingy in size so appropriate for males too. He hasn't lost them when away at college so the post must be well made.

I never had black diamonds so I wasn't sure what to expect. When the earrings arrived, I was thrilled. I was even more excited when i wore them and other people knew exactly what they were. Saving to get larger ones.

I bought this earing not knowing what to expect and after receiving them I almost wear it everyday to work, though it is small you can actually see it from a distance. Just by paying less than a hundred, I can say I really got a good deal out of it.

I knew from the reviews that these were not going to be large studs, but they were smaller than I anticipated. The stones are flat in appearance and don't reflect light well. The setting actually glints more than the stone and that's not saying much. Maybe I expected more dazzle from a black "diamond" than what actually exists. I've never owned a black diamond before. These stones were a big disappointment paying nearly twice for them what I've paid previously through Overstock for stud earrings.

• How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Not very well. The earrings seemed smaller than even the displayed measurement. The stones were a nearly flat cut and not faceted as they appear in the photo.
