This unique ring combines an antique diamond design with a ruby or sapphire gemstone.
Made of polished 14-karat yellow gold, this ring is masterfully crafted with attention to detail. Fifty-two pave-set round diamonds (0.50 total carat weight, I-J color, I1-I2 clarity) cover the setting and extend onto the band to create a sparkling setting for the emerald-cut ruby or sapphire (6 x 4 mm, 0.70 gem weight).

I purchased the gold and ruby ring in Dec of 2004; I loved it from the moment I saw it. I purchased it to replace the original wedding ring my husband gave me, (long story, it was picked out for another woman and he said I could buy a different one later on). So I bought this because I've always liked the look of rubies and diamonds together, I was not dissappointed by this ring. I have accidently hit it hard against things without the loss of a stone (knock on wood). It is beautiful and elegant looking and quite unique, which I like. I wish they made one with a bigger ruby center-stone and larger diamonds encircling it. I thought the price for this was a great bargin. Usually you get what you pay for, but so far Overstock can sell quality for less, that's why I continue to shop with them. Maybe the woman who complained about losing a stone should go to a different jeweler or talk to Overstock and allow them the chance to make it right.

I bought the white gold and sapphire ring and loved it when I got it. After wearing it about a month - one of the diamonds fell out. When I took it to a jeweler to replace the diamond - he said he wouldn't do it because the setting was so poorly made that he couldn't guarantee his work - he said that the diamond would surely fall out again. He also told me that he wouldn't be surprised if more diamonds fell out over time. Great....
