This necklace was much more than I expected for the price. The photo does not do it justice. It's beautiful and sturdy. It's on the heavy side, but personally I like that.

This necklace was not quite what I expected, but overall I'm pleased with it. My husband warned me that it would be heavy, because brass was probably the "alloy" mentioned in its description. But I wanted a necklace with a bulkier appearance than usual, knowing that it would match my "bulkier" weight gain in recent years. ;=0 Boy, my husband was right. I like the cobra chain, but I was surprised at how much strain it puts on the back of my neck. Our hot climate here causes you to sweat on the nape of your neck, and this made it worse. I don't have a lot of strength in that area, and I get headaches, so you may not have problems with it. But, I would definitely suggest that if you order it, you wear it for a couple of hours at one time so you can test out its length before your return time is up. Another thing about this necklace is that it's apparently a unisex piece; I didn't find anything in the description guiding me one way or the other about who it's for. There were other cobra chains on Overstock that were much thicker and heavier, though, so I felt okay about ordering it. My husband approves of the look as being feminine enough. We're middle-aged, so we're probably educated and just out of the loop! Ask a teenager! Please add your opinion about who it's for in the next reviews.

I was looking for a necklace to replace the last one that broke which was very thin and found this one. I've had this a month and so far I have been satisfied with it. It might pinch the hair on the back of your neck, but that can be expected. I do recommend this who likes to wear jewelry.
