Got my pearls quickly, within 48 hours. Haven't gotten them appraised yet, but they are very nice. As stated by others, upon very close inspection, some flaws can be seen. But if you want to pay 5-600 dollars for perfect pearls, be my guest. Flaws are definitely not noticeable unless very closely inspecting them. Many people have been upset that they were shipped in a bag, which gave them a cheap appearance. Unfortunately, Pearls are very delicate, and if they were shipped in a box, there is a very serious chance they would get damaged. Pearls begin to fade simply from the oils of a persons skin. So don't let the bag worry you too much. Great bargain, would definitely recommend.

These pearls are absolutly beautiful! The color is flawless! More like AAA pearls. Quality is first class, right down to the finest detail. And the little Gold Shape HEART clasp! PRRRRRRRREFECT! Merry Christmas! 2008

I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. I spent extra for the "Akoya" name there is NO identifier on this item as being Akoya. They came sent to me in plastic wrap NOT suitable for the Akoya name and/or for the College Graduation gift that they were puschased for. Good pearls should be given the respact they diserve in a jewelry/pearl case.

I've been really happy with these pearls-- the price was excellent. I had them appraised, and they're worth several times the purchase price. I have trouble fastening the clasp when putting them on; it's a pretty clasp, but a little tricky to handle. It's very sturdy and secure, though, and won't spring open like some styles. I like that the pearls are individually knotted off, which some manufacturers don't do any more-- heaven forfend I break the string, I won't lose all the pearls! Would love to see strings from this supplier in varying lengths, and bracelets.

The pearls were nice if you want white pearls. I expected them to be pink. Had also ordered white pearls from Overstock and couldn't tell the difference from those that were supposed to be white and those that were supposed to be pink. The clasp was the only way I knew which was which.

I was a little disappointed because the strand doesn't lay evenly. However, you get what you pay for.

I bought these as a present for my sister's college graduation. She loved them. I thought they were beautiful,and am tempted to buy a strand for myself. They are heavy, and the color is luminious, with barely any flaws. This was a great investment, and I highly reccommend!

I received this as a birthday gift, and was very disappointed. Pearls are full of pits and irregularities. It is being returned.

I love the Pearl Necklace - the size and quality of the Pearls is excellent. My only complaint is with the closure. The hook and loop are small and it's difficult to open and close.

I "upgraded" from a similar strand to get the 'better' clasp but found it still a bit hard to open. The pearls look nice on the neck but won't be confused with the $1000 ones.

The pearls are almost perfectly matched in terms of size and shape. All pearls are very round and white with slight imperfections on each that cannot be seen unless the necklace is examined closely. Unique heart shaped clasp is easy to operate and adds the perfect finishing touch to this lovely strand. I was so pleased with this purchase that I am ordering the similar version in black. If you are ordering this strand as a gift, plan on getting a better presentation box since the red "O" bag does not make a very nice presentation. Overall, a great value.

I got this necklace today and the pearls have alot of luster to them, they are a very pretty creamy color. I was very pleased. The packaging was the usual red o bag , and there was no authentication card, but I guess that is the norm when buying akoya pearls from this site- at least thats been my experience, so i didn't find it as perplexing as i did the first time. I would recommend this strand, they are very nice and they got here so fast!

Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. I am not a jeweler nor an experienced jewelery purchaser, but I did not notice the "imperfections" that some other reviewers mentioned noticing in the pearls. My only qualm is that the strand is strung together a bit tight, which made it fall across my chest a bit unevenly at first. Now that I've worn the necklace a few times, however, the strand seems to have loosened up a bit. Given that you won't have an opportunity to inspect the product yourself before you buy it, I'm not sure I'd recommend purchasing this product as a gift for someone else. But, if, like me, you've been meaning to acquire a pearl necklace for a while, this is a good buy.

Beautiful pearls. Matching of pearls amazed me. Lovely lock. Easy to put on without help. I purchased them for my future daughter-in-law because "every bride should have pearls to wear on her wedding day".

My wife enjoyed her present. I must admit I don't know much about pearls. I looked at the reviews and made the purchase. I am very satisfied. The packaging they came in was very nice.

I bought my pearls about a year ago. I think they are gorgeous, and absolutely classic. I will say though, they had to be restrung after about 10 months, but I do wear them often. My local jeweler said they would need to be restrung again in about 5 years with regular wear. So, I think the initial workmanship and/or quality of the string was less than stellar, but no big deal. Still worth the price. I love 'em.

Like on the matching bracelet, the clasp is very difficult to use making it a two person operation to get it on. Otherwise, it is very nice and my wife loves it.
