I recently purchased this set for my wife. She has never had pearls other than a pair of dangle pearl earrings that we purchased for our wedding. So, after reading the reviews, I took a chance on the set as a Birthday/Mother's Day gift. I was more than pleasantly surprised and my wife was excited about such a beautiful set of pearls. All the pearls throughout the set were matched beautifully. Not only in their size, but also their luster, suface quality and shape. They are a smaller sized pearl that works perfectly for elegant wear as well as more casual wear. I was amazed at their weight and the overall construction of the set as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this set for young or older ladies as a starter set or even as a suplimental set to existing pearl jewelry. My only recommendation is that you find a nice box for the presentation of this gift as it only comes in a little red Overstock drawstring jewelry bag.

The set is beautiful. The strand is not of the highest quality but is excellent for the price and it looks beautiful.

I received these pearls as a gift from my sister, and was so pleased, bought them for my bridesmaids for my wedding.

At first I was apprehensive as to whether the size if everything would be right. My girlfriend loves the entire set so that to me is the recognition I was looking for.Bonta

My boyfriend surprised me with this set and I am very impressed. The set is beautiful and at such a great price. Definitely worth it. It was difficult at first to figure out the clasp, but it's fine now and I feel like it will hold better. Overall, a great buy!

I bought these for myself, I had always wanted a real nice pearl set and saw this as an opportunity to purchase a nice set. I read all the reviews and took a risk to purchase it. I wasn't as pleased as all the other purchasers. I feel my "fake" pearl set looks nicer than this set. There is nothing indicating that this is a true Akoya set of pearls. The pearls were nicked and not nicely polished. I guess my expectations were high based on the reviews. I feel this is a good "starter set" but not a beautiful set of pearls. For the money invest in a nice strand of pearls vs. the set.

I bought this for my Mother-Inlaw and she loves it. She isn't the type to wear make-up or jewerly but she loves this set and the pearls look good with anything she puts on.

My daughter loved them. After shopping around I found this set to be the best value.

I was disappointed that there were so many small flaws and the individual sheen and quality of each pearl was very uneven on the strand. Still, I suppose for the price, I shouldn't complain too loudly. It's nice to have a full set of pearls that match in size and color, and the flaws are such that probably only the wearer, or a jeweler, would notice.

Gorgeous set, I am impressed. It looks a thousand times more beautiful than department store brands and for less.

I previously bought a 5 mm pearl necklace and earring set from a "club" place. While doing some comparison shopping I saw this set and was so excited I paid for 2 day shipping and returned the first set. I just rec'd this today and I'm returning it today. They are smaller than advertised and lack in quality. The clasp on the necklace is chintzy. Also disappointed that I have to pay not only the shipping to return this, but also a restocking fee. My first experience with "Overstock" not so great.

When I was Christmas shopping for my husband and daughter, I decided to splurge and get something pretty for myself that I wouldn't normally buy. There was no way I could pass on the price. I bought these pearls as a starter set (I'd never had any pearl jewelry before). The pearls had a few imperfections, but only if you look closely enough. The clasp was a little tricky at first. Bracelet was too small for my wrist, but I've been meaning to lose weight anyway. Overall I was very pleased and can't wait to wear them.

Great pearls. Couldnt pass up the price. Overstock is the best.
