My wife picked out this ring as a 10 yr anniversary present. Overstock couldnt have been more helpful and protective of my purchase. The ring DID appraise. Not quite as much as Overstock said it was worth, but a good bit more than I paid

This is a beautiful ring. I was very happy with the quality and value. I did alot of comparison shopping. By far Overstock was the best value. The customer service was outstanding. I had a slight problem and the issue was resolved through an online chat. Do not hesitate to order this item. You'll be very pleased. Overstock provides superior customer service.

Clarity of diamonds not as described

We originally purchased one that was too loose so we had to return it. When we went to check the product we discovered a big inclusion off to the side of the center stone. It is listed on the product page that the diamonds are supposed to be SI 1 - 2, and according to Overstock's own diamond buying guide, "The diamond has inclusions that are somewhat easily seen with 10-power magnification but extremely difficult for the gemologist to see without magnification.". We're not gemologists and we (or anybody, really) could definitely see it without any magnification. The clarity was more like I 1, 2, or 3 (Included). We were asked to take photos of the flaw, which we did, and send it back. The full amount was refunded to us. We ordered another one of the right size and this time the inclusion was even worse . It is right in the middle of the center stone - a black dot that you can't miss. We contacted customer service again and this time we quoted from Overstock's diamond buying guide. The representative responded by giving us a different guide (probably one he just found on the internet). He was NOT helpful and was very defensive about how Overstock stands behind their products and their quality etc.. We simply could not be bothered having to deal with another return and to pay $$$ in return shipping so we decided to keep it. It is very disappointing though. We will definitely think twice purchasing anything over $$$ from Overstock again.

Like most probably are, I was hesitant to buy an engagement online, off of overstock even more so. I figured I would see how it went, and if I didn't like it, I'd send it back. I will first say that a ring of SI quality should be "eye clean", overstock says that and that is the industry description. When overstock sent me the ring, it was not eye clean, there were black spots in it. After two days I decided to call the customer service department to see if anything could be done. They were unbelievably helpful, they told me it should not be like that and they would send an inspected second ring to me expedited. When this second ring showed up it was absolutely gorgeous. Completely flawless to the eye, perfect clarity, and sparkled more than I could have ever anticipated. They credited me to insure the ring I sent back and paid for the shipping, I was unbelievably pleased with the customer service. Two things on this ring. 1-on blue nile, or any jewelry store the retail price is between 7800-8500. 2-it appraised for double. My fiance was shocked when she saw the size of it and can't stop looking at it. Thank you overstock.
