I initially bought 1/2 carat, but then they turned out to be so small that you can't really see the blue color (they just looked dark). I returned them and got the 1 ct instead...so much better, and I got compliments on them -- and the blue color stand out.
This is actually my second pair. The original pair that I received had a large, noticeable surface scratch. I contacted customer Service and was immediately shipped an exchange. The second pair are gorgeous! They have great color and sparkle. I was very impressed and pleased with the swift and flawless replacement. Customer Service should also get a 5 star rating!

Up until a couple of years ago, I didn't like diamonds. But then . . . after finding an interest in gemology and the spiritual / psychic qualities that stones embody / represent, I became enthralled with diamonds too. White diamonds are exquisite and bright and probably more extroverted; but BLUE DIAMONDS are more subdued, mellow, and deep -- like an Ocean. // I love the blue and yellow gold combo as they are a good combo of "cool" and "warm" colors, respectively. // The screw backs are helpful in that it vastly reduces the chance of losing them. // I also bought the 1/3 carat earring set and wear them together. The smaller ones seem lighter / brighter (because they are less dense) and capture the light more. // My only complaint is that the setting and post seems a bit skimpy. They coulda / shoulda used a slightly thicker post. I wear mine all the time (even when I sleep) and sometimes the posts poke me.
