pretty pendant
The stone is smaller than I expected but it is quite pretty. The chain is flimsy but I did not buy it for the chain but rather the pendant.

Purple
My girlfriend love this necklace tremendously. She adores the color of the stone and how it shines on her when she is wearing it. Purple makes a bold and strong statement. The cut of the amethyst makes the light reflect off of the stone in such a way that it sparkles! Amazing item!

Not as pictured
I was looking for a purple amethyst to go with another piece I had and when saw the picture I thought I had found it. However, when I received the necklace the color was much, much paler than it looked in the picture. I was not satisfied at all. It was not worth the return soi kept the necklace but found another one a short while later that lived up to the color that was depicted. Sorry overstock I'm usually a satisfied customer, but not this time.

Good Buy
This necklace arrived exactly as pictured. We bought it as a gift for my mother in law who wanted something with a purple stone and yellow gold. This was the prettiest piece we could find in that combination. It's a very simple, pretty necklace. The yellow gold isn't too bright or too yellow and it doesn't look cheap. The Amethyst is a good size, and a pretty shade of purple. Not too dark, not too light. Overall, excellent for the price.
