I'm a general fan of Overstock as a place to shop for my wife, but these earings were so much lighter that the picture -- the Amethyst looked like an extremely watered-down cup of Gatoraide.

The earrings were exactly as I hoped and because the online picture was accurate, the stones perfectly matched the ring as I had hoped. I am pleased with the quality and value.

Got these for Christmas and love them. The stones were actually a lighter shade of lavender than shown. The color does go well with all shades of purple, plum, magenta,etc. Good workmanship and easy to put on and take off.

The price is great, and the design itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, the purple color isn't as pictured. It's a far more watered down purple, and it's by no means opaque. When the light hits the back, it can change the color depending on the color of the background.

The good: the amethysts were a nice size (not too small) and a great color. The price was good for the size of the stones. The bad: it's not a post earring, it's a hook, and it doesn't come with any backings to keep them from coming off. Also, the hook is very bendable, which was good in my case because one of the earrings was slightly off center and I was able to easily bend it into place...doesn't say as much for the quality of the item, however. Also, the diamonds were miniscule -- not as big as they appear in the picture here. Overall: I would buy these again because they were a great deal, however, I would caution others to keep in mind that you are getting what you pay for to some extent.

These amethyst earrings are gorgeous! I was hesitant to order them, but am so glad I went ahead and got them. The color of the amethysts is deep purple and looks like the on-line picture. I am not disappointed in them in any way.

I really like these earrings. The purple checkerboard stones are nice but I prefer the three little diamonds set above the main stones. I love detailing and these diamond add style to them. Beautiful

Amethyst are my favorite stones so you can imagine how happy I was when I discovered these earrings. They look great. I especially love the little diamond accents, they make the earrings shine. Wow! They are so pretty.
