These earrings are very pretty however the ruler they are depicted with is deceptive and they are in reality a little smaller. The diamond encrusted huggie section is quite small and to my mind does not do justice to the garnet charms plus anyone with larger ear lobes would have difficulty fitting them on. Although the huggies fit me they look too dainty so I have separately purchased larger huggies and the earrings now look great. If you have small lobes and don't mind a finer look then you will like them - but if you prefer your earrings to look a little more solid then perhaps reconsider or do what I did and get larger huggies. A little dissapointing overall but the garnet charms are unusual and very pretty.

The design of these earrings is very different from any other I have seen. They are true to the picture except for the fact the diamonds are not nearly as noticeable in person. I am a 37 year-old female and bought these along with the matching necklace for my 63 year-old mother. I tried these on since I have not yet given them to her and I wanted to be able to review them. I believe they are a perfect size and length. I do not understand why one other review stated they would be for a young girl! They also fit my earlobes just fine with plenty of room to spare. I do have thin ones I suppose but can't see how they would not fit any woman's lobes. I know my mother will cherish these earrings for the rest of her days unless of course she loses one as she is prone to do. :-) The previous reviewer who commented one came off as she was changing her t-shirt is correct in saying they do not fasten very well. I will be sure to warn my mother and only hope this does not scare her into not wearing them. :-) I actually bought this set at a higher price but noticed they were reduced within 10 days of my purchase, so I contacted Overstock. They refunded the difference! Please note that if you are giving these as a gift, they come in a very unimpressive plain white box with the Overstock emblem on it.

These earrings are really lovely & a great value at the price I paid. However, 2 cautions: (1) Even if you look carefully at the 1-in. scale provided, they're a little smaller than I expected. A nice wearable size, tho. (2) Be careful when you wear them! They may not be as secure as they look, because when you close the clasp it is less than totally secure. When I took a T-shirt off over my head, one of the earrings came off. The little garnet heart, which is easily separated from the hoop, landed in a shoe. The hoop itself landed several feet away. Luckily I found them, but if I hadn't been in my own bathroom who knows? In all my years of wearing pierced earrings, I've never had this happen before. Also, another reviewer said they're not great for thick earlobes. That's true. I have normal-sized earlobes, & they just barely fit.

This pair is nice, but it will fit more for young toddlers. Need to have thin not average or fatty earlobes to be able to wear this with room to dangle around. I have notice most earrings on O have backing sticks a little short for average adult ears; earrings feel tight on my earlobes--not good for the price.

They match my beartiful Garnet Cross and I really like them. They are very light and comfortable to wear. They are smaller than I expected but I am very happy with them and would recommend them especially if you have other garnet jewellry.

Garnet is also my birth stone. The dangling part of the earring which includesthe garnet heart gemstones and flowers are just beautiful! Just what I hopedthey would be. I also like the way they can be used with a necklace. Thediamond hoops are small. I have thick ear lobes and the fit is tight. Otherthan that I would recommend these to a friend.

Garnet is my birthstone. I got the earrings for that reason and also because they are so pretty. I love them and wear them all the time. The little flowers are my favorite element.
