I guess there isn't a "perfect" dish rack This is an odd looking dish rack. It sits quite high on the counter -- much higher than the picture suggests. And if its under a cabinet, this presents a bit of a problem for placing larger items into it. Yes, its easier maintenance and has a better drain system than other racks, but I really don't care for the fact that, in spite of it being very large, there are only 8 slots for actual dishes. The utensil holder must mount on the inside portion which takes up room in the rack. It should mount on the outside. I guess if I want a perfect dish rack, I must design one myself. I liked the design of the KitchenAid better, but it leaked all over my counter and rusted out in 6 months. If the KitchenAid had more reliable drain tray and had been better constructed, I would have kept it. This rack, in spite of its size, has too many design flaws. If you are a visual person, like I am, you will find that its presence on the counter overwhelms and dominates the counter. I will continue looking. Well constructed but not well designed.

So GREAT!! Whomever designed this, I think it was a woman, knows from hand washing dishes. It's absolutely the best dish etc. drainer I've ever had. It's sturdy, rustless and big enough to hold all the plates silverware and pots and pans from a family dinner. Water does not pool underneath because of the design and moveable drain spout!

We use one (without wine rack), and love it. We want to give this one as a gift to a family member.

My Son and Daughter-In-Law have one, and it looked bigger than my Rubbermaid strainer. We have so many large family gatherings where the amount of dishes used, are unimaginable. I'm hopeful that this will be able to hold more dishes, glasses and casserole dishes, to make our clean up easier. I'm also hopeful that the drainage design will alleviate the extra water that I seem to splash on the counters.
