Despite the above issues about the color being misleading in the photos and description, we happened to like the rug a lot and are keeping it. We probably would have liked a less bright blue and more gray tone as we were expecting more, but who wants to go through the hassle of mailing something big like this back to Overstock and getting a new one?
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The photos and description say "Grey Blue" The actual color is a brighter blue with an off-white trellis design
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The rug is of good quality for the price, and has a nice cushy feeling as you walk on it.
- How accurate was the on site description of the product? Not accurate in terms of color, but otherwise good.
I just received this today, so I don't have any information on wear yet. However, even though the color claims to be "blue," I can definitely confirm that it's reasonably close to what's pictured on the site. The color on the rug tag itself is called "Aqua," and I would say it's more an aqua-green than an aqua-blue. Fortunately that's what I was looking for. Another bit of good news is that even though the enlarged picture makes it appear as though the white edging on the rug is a bit ragged and irregular, it's a fairly consistent 1.25 inches all the way around. On the disappointing side (for me, at least) is that the rug is 2 inches shorter than the listed 6x9 in both dimensions. Also of note is that the lines of the pattern seem to be rather thicker than depicted (for reference, the little four-lobed pinwheels only have a thin sliver of aqua in their centers on mine). Maybe there's some room for irregularity since it's handmade, but the lines in the one I received are at least an inch wide, which makes the pattern more dominating and less delicate/subtle than I had hoped. I'll keep it, though, because the color I was trying to coordinate with is a tricky one, and for me that's the most important thing.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Pretty close
