I wanted an ottoman to put my feet on. Most of the "poufs" I have looked at are filled with soft filling, making them comfortable for my purpose. Not so with this pouf, which was not at all pouffy. It is a hard box, with jute around the sides and a thin layer of soft wool on top. The end result is, it is still hard. Ok as a seat perhaps. And nice looking. To be a proper pouf, this entire hard box should be covered with soft batting before putting on the jute and wool, at a minimum.
