We have owned this garbage can for about 1 month and so far find it to be useful, attractive and operating well. We have had a few instances of the lid opening as people walk by, but his is becuase it sits on a corner area where people turn and pass near it. Changing the bag is easy and mess free and the ring that holds the bag in place ensures that garbage doesn't get stuck in the can.

I love this new trashcan. When we are all becoming more aware of e coli and germs in our homes, this is the best idea ever to help stop the spread of germs, especially in the kitchen. I recently had company come over (age of group around 20-24 years old) and they were fascinated with this trashcan. It works perfectly each time I put my hand near it. It's not that hard to change the bag either. I love that my son can no longer leave the lid up. I used to put the old lid down constantly because he would leave it up. I don't even think about it anymore. One thing I don't like is the lid of a trashcan open when not being used. I highly recommend this product. You can't beat the price either. Comes packaged very well so it won't be damaged in shipping.

We love this trash can! It is the right size and shape for our kitchen and it matches my other stainless steel appliances. A very nice trash can for the money. As the other reviewers said "it works great" It is like having a robot in your kitchen--we even named it! We have it in an area where we walk by it often so it is always opening unnecessarily--but we think that it is funny--but eventually we will put it somewhere else when we have to start changing the batteries!

purchased this based on the fact my high tech friend had one years ago.Very nice for my apartment. Works well when it does not have a mind of its own. All in all a great purchase and sits well in a small corner
