As usual I was skeptical. A year ago I had purchased the Roomba 770. I admit I didn't expect much. And figured it would maybe pick up a bit of dirt to help me out. After using the Roomba, it exceded my expectations. For a year I have been looking at the Scooba. The price was steep. And once again I didn't expect much. Finally I broke down and bought it. The Scooba exceded my expectations too. I am very pleased with it. The Scooba helps me out as much as the Roomba. I can multi task and get much more done in less time with the aid of these products. The Scooba is great! I am very glad I finally bought one. It isn't perfect that is why I gave four stars. But this gal isn't complaining about my little robot!
Even though the concept is good, I was not impressed with the product. It cleans well were it cleans through, however it moves in circles and it misses many areas. It is very loud and it takes a very long time to charge yet the charge only last 45 minutes.
I use this to clean my kitchen floor several times a week. It works very well. We have a laminate floor. I just put water with a little bit of salt. The floor gets very dirty because we have two toddlers. After I run the scooba the floor is sparking clean. The main downside is that it is very loud. You cannot really plan to stay in the same room while it is running. We close the door to the kitchen or leave the house when it is running. Also the Scooba is a bit hard to fill up with water. It seems like they should be able to make it easier to fill up. However it is worth it in my opinion.
