Not come with orignial APS Batt
I recently bought roomba and found out that the battery type from this refurbished unit is not the original Ni-MH or it called "yellow APS battery". It comes with Ni-CD or "black battery" which only lasts 40-50 mins operation time per charge. Roomba typically spend 20-25 min per room thus it can only clean 2 average rooms max out of this Ni-CD. The original battery Ni-MH is last upto 120 mins which is almost 3 time longer (meaning capable of cleaning 4-5 or even 6 room at one charge). This won't bother me much until I started using roomba and found out that my 3rd room never get clean since roomba will run out of power before reaching the 3rd room and next cycle it started from 1st and 2nd room again.Beside the Ni-CD battery costs $30-$40 and original Ni-MH battery costs $90 from irobot store meaning $50-$60 price difference. The brand new roomba 560 costs around $300 which is almost the same price of this refurbished unit with original yellow APS battery so I will think twice before buying another refurbished roomba. I gave 3 star for this reason.

Pretty accurate description compared to others reviews. The rollers need to be cleaned more often if vacuuming an area with alot of hair (human/pet). Sometimes has trouble finding its docking station. Overall, a great machine, has definitely made life easier, especially during the holidays!!!

I like my Roomba. I do have a couple of reality checks, though. Roomba is not a replacement for your old vacuum cleaner. You'll still need to get the places it can't reach. Roomba is not a maid service. Because my long hair and my cat I have to track it down and clean it's brushes about once a cycle even with setting it to vacuum daily. If you clean your floors well before you start using Roomba, it will keep things looking nice with little to no effort on your part. Just remember to empty the waste bin and clean the brushes some time before the next cycle. Vacuuming is my most hated housecleaning chore. My Roomba has made my life much easier. I'd especially recommend it to anyone who has physical limitations that make vacuuming difficult and/or painful.

Does an excellent job of cleaning. Easy to program and maintain. So nice to come home each day to a freshly vacuumed home - just like having a maid.

Great product at a great price.
I purchase the refurbished Roomba for $125 less than the list price of a new one, but I could not tell that it had bever been used before. It works great, vacuuming my apartment while I am away and returning to its power base most of the time. Occasionally, it traps itself in a room or closet by closing the door, but I don't think that is a big problem.

Was expecting more.
I think I was expecting to be wowed by this product. It often got "lost" in my open living dining kitchen space. The towers didn't seem to keep it out of areas I didn't want it in. Overall I was unimpressed.

Great product, can't live without. Note, buy the warranty. This is the second one I have purchased in three years and I have had to use my warranty both times. Don't try to save money by not buying the warranty, you will regret it later.

Love, love, LOVE my Roomba!
I love my robotic vacuum cleaner - I have hardwood floors and area rugs and the machine does a great job sucking up the piles of dust and pet hair my two dogs shed. I don't even mind cleaning out the brushes and rollers as I can see for myself how much debris is collected. Because I have two dogs - it runs nearly every day in my home. I did get a replacement brush and filter kit from the manufactor because these are parts you have to maintain. After nearly 2 years of use, it still does a great job and I will probably buy it a new battery this year - but it ain't broke and I'm not going to fix it until it stops. I love that it goes back to its charging base beneath a shelving unit and does a great job "refueling" for the next time I need to clean. With a bad back and arthritis, this is a cleaning tool that saves me a lot of pain and discomfort that a "regular" vacuum cleaner would require of me.

Still works!
The Roomba is mesmerizing. I could watch it for hours. I mainly use it in the kitchen (440 SF)SemiSmooth tile12x12-1/8"joints. It is as fun to use as it is to watch. After it goes past the crumbs for the5th time, I like to place obsticles or my foot in strategic locations, hoping to force it to choose the route that will pass over the crumbs and pick them up. This goes on till my wife tells me to just get the GD vacume out and save myself some time. The rest of the house is rough slate. It is more of a traveling, rotating brush with a hand vac attached. Out there I just let it run free after making sure the space between sofa and table legs are tight or far enough, so it doesn't get stuck. Although it rarely is able to get on the area rug, and if it does, is some times afraid to jump off the edge on to the floor. The biggest problem is the small amount of dirt it will pick up before it stops and flashes empty unit. NO the biggest problem is that any longer hairs just get wrapped around the rotating edge wisp, or around the rotating brush drum, so leave your self plenty of time to cut and unravel all the hair.

For a refurbished vacuum it has been really great! Cleans well and much quieter than the regular vacuumm.
