It works beautifully. The dust bin is sufficient and after-use maintenance is fast and easy. The noise level is far below a conventional vacuum.
Love my Roomba. It allows me to do other things, such as dust, while it is doing it's thing. I wish the battery lasted longer per charge. It has cleaned spaces that haven't been vacuumed in three years since we moved into the house (under the armoire, under the bed, on the other side of the bed where the standard vacuum will not fit). It's nice to get up in the morning and see vacuum cleaner marks on the floor and "Rosie" back at her docking station. It has found its way back to the docking station many times after it has cleaned a room, but not everytime. I would recommend purchasing a second battery and maybe an additional virtual wall.
This machine is amazing. I have two children, two dogs, two cats, a full time job, and a large house. Before I got the roomba, I was either oppressed by the dirt on the floor or oppressed with vacuuming. But now I have it set to go off automatically every weekday at 10:00, and my floors are always clean. When I come home from work, I simply need to clean it out-- a 1 minute process-- and put it back for its next day's work.
IT IS QUITE AMAZING HOW WELL IT WORKS. LET IT RUN EVEN WHEN YOU THINK YOUR FLOR IS CLEAN AND YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT WHAT IT PICKS UP.
