Excellent Purchase!!!
I purchased this bed for my small guestroom and I could not be more pleased with my purchase. It took nearly 3 weeks to arrive and came with illustrated directions, which were easy to follow. I did not have to purchase any extra slats (bed came with 3 plus a headboard support slat). One of my gal pals and I screwed the sides onto the headboard then I got the bright idea to pull out my power drill and finished putting the balance of the bed together independently. All in all it took me about 2 hrs to assemble and I am a woman in my early 40s. Note I used my old regular box spring and mattress but I may switch to a lower profile box spring in the future because the bed sits higher than shown in the photo (about ― the box-spring shows above the side-rail) but the height is not odd or offensive looking.

Marlowe Bed
I purchased the bed for our smaller bedroom and it arrived within two weeks. I am very pleased with the look and quality of the bed for the price. Everyone that sees it can't believe it is not some high end designer bed. I liked it because it is so unusual and not your cookie cutter bed. I don't like the matching furniture look and I have added pieces to the room that really make it pop! The only down side is putting it together. It was a little more difficult than I thought but my husband and I put it together in about 3 hours. It did include all the hardware and even had extas which is very unusual when you buy put together furniture. I have ordered from Overstock before and once again they did not disappoint me. I love the shipping price too!
