This decorative mirror is very attractive - perfect for what I wanted to use it for... however it had such a strong chemical odor! Not quite a paint or stain smell, hard to describe... I let it air out for a few days and the smell dissipated. I would suggest anyone purchasing this mirror place it in a garage or in a spare room or basement for a few days before hanging. Otherwise it is a very stunning piece that will add nice texture and interest to just about any room. I would have given 5 stars if not for the smell.

I was looking for something a little organic to balance all the glass and silver peices I have in the room. I mounted it in the middle of some oversized shelves I have on the wall. It looks great! I added some black stain to make it a little darker, but other than that it's perfect, I am very happy with it.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? It's much lighter than the photo. I was expecting dark brown almost black, but it's much lighter with a dusty gray type film on the wood.
