I was worried about the color as my bedroom is dark brown and no gray...I took the chancevand ordered this bench..it came very fast..in just days...the color is MOCHA !!! IT IS BROWN..There was no gray i could see..mocha..perfect example of color..velvet..it is perfect for my room...I love this bench..I bought it for my daschund that couldn't jump on the bed as it's too high.. I cant begin to tell you it is made very sturdy..its no light weight piece.. ( not very heavy either ) its a decent piece of furniture! !! And truly beautiful! !! Perfect for my king size bed!!!! But...2 of the 4 legs. ..the hole for the screw was too small..so i called..They were very nice and are shipping me 2 more legs asap.. Each leg takes 2 long screws..so the 2 bad legs..1 screw went in..The other hole was too small...so i have bench together temporarily. ..it works till the 2 legs get here..and i love it esp..how my doggie gets up on the bed now..she loves it too.. I give 5 stars !!!!!
I don't write many reviews but I owe this to my fellow shoppers. Plus I rely heavily on reviews. This is absolutely the biggest piece of crap I've ever purchased from Overstock or ANY OTHER online retailer. Kudos to angelo for making history with this online sport shopper. First, color not as pictured or described. "Tan Gray-Velvet" was the description. I suppose they couldn't come up with an accurate single shade because quite frankly, neither can I. The closest thing I can think of is dog poo. You get what you pay for so I wasn't expecting this solid piece of furniture to arrive out of the box, but when I flipped the bench to begin assembly I noticed that the very thin wood, could be particle board, was cracked and broken in some places. The places happen to be the corners where the legs were to fit snuggly so I continued with assembly - the legs straightened out the broken wood - and I was confident that these cracks would not compromise overall sturdiness. Please, that turned out to be no prob at all compared to what was to come. Each of the four legs had 2 holes for screws. The assembly looked so simple I was psyched just to get it over with, just screw in the long screws through the holes on the bottom of the bench and into the legs. Well, inside the holes on the legs were these pieces of metal. I imagine to grab the screw and "secure" and "guide" it into the rest of the leg. Well, as you screwed the screw into the leg you actually began to unscrew the piece of metal FROM the leg. The metal would detach from the leg and eventually you would not be able to screw any further because the metal piece is now lodged between the hole you are screwing from and the hole in the leg you are screwing in to. I tried to remove the screw and guide the metal piece back into the leg, and I couldn't! It was impossible to unscrew from the leg because the threading on the metal piece would move with the screw as it was now dislodged completely from the leg. Good Lord, I don't even know if this makes sense but it was an absolute disaster. I knew I'd be returning it but now I had four legs in and I couldn't disassemble it. I contacted customer service, I provided photos of what I tried to describe above. They refunded my money and asked me to dispose of the product. And that's exactly where it belongs... IN THE GARBAGE!
