I was very skeptical when I unpacked this; it looked so thin that I was pretty annoyed and certain I would have to return it. However, I put it on a wood floor, knelt on it, and didn't feel anything but cushion. And I am a big woman! Also, I have a Tempurpedic Mattress so I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to sleeping surfaces and foam mattresses. I bought this specifically with tanning outside on my deck in mind. I also love lying on the floor when watching TV, but my hipbones, ribs, elbows, etc., get horribly achy. I was a little concerned that for a fraction of the price I could have bought a mattress topper or camping pad that would have served just as well, but the "Game Terrain" is a much better size. It has a white plastic cover over the foam (but it's soft and comfy, doesn't crackle or smell like chemicals), which is even MORE perfect for tanning because it doesn't seem to be too absorbent or delicate, and it can be wiped with a sponge. Because of the warm weather, I haven't put the "real" cover on yet--it's luxurious super-soft micromink on one side, and black ripstop nylon on the other. Another bonus--you can put this on the floor or carpet and it won't pick up dirt or fuzzies! If my son has a friend spend the night, I don't feel like a jerk offering this as a guest bed. For a real treat, use this in your home gym for yoga and Pilates! It's twice as wide as a regular exercise mat and way better for your bones. Then after your last sit-up you can just lie back and take a nap.... :D PS--be very careful when unpacking! It comes folded very small and wrapped very tightly in layers of plastic and miles of tape. In spite of my best efforts, I nicked a bit of the white material.
This is a nice idea; I bought it to use as a spot to do basic floor exercises in front of the TV, and it's pretty good at providing a small amount of cushioning. If you are trying to warm up a cold floor this would work really well. However, and this is the reason I only gave it 3 stars: It had a very strong chemical smell that has only recently (after 4 years!!!) gone away enough that I feel comfortable having it in my living area. For comparison, I have bought multiple memory foam mattress toppers and a memory foam body pillow from Overstock and most have had a chemical smell that took a while to dissipate, but all went away within at most a few weeks. The Zoe Game Terrain had such a strong smell that you could smell it when you entered the room even though I left it out with the window almost always slightly open to let it air out--for 3 years!!! Even my dog never laid down on it until recently. That said, it is now his favorite spot in the house starting about two weeks ago. He likes it even better than his memory foam mattress that he loves.

i bought this to work out on. was a little concerned it might slide on the hardwood floors, not at all. the back is kind of a roughened nylon fabric like you might see in outdoor gear. that with the size and weight, no slipping. this thing is super thick, i can't feel the floor through it. not too heavy, you could kind of curl in half and store in a closet or under a bed or whatever. definitely you could have guests sleep on it and feel confident they would be comfortable. there is a zipper at one end of the outer cover and inside, the foam is in another zippered cover of a purple taffeta nylon which is also surprisingly thick/good quality. so you can definitely clean it and the foam is protected from...whatever. really versatile and a great value/super buy. love it.
I bought this as a short-term alternative to lounge chairs. I wanted something that I could take outside and lay out on and this has worked great. At the suggestion of another reviewer, I removed the cover and layed out on my patio. It's sufficient cushion to feel plenty comfortable, it's not smelly, and my dog kept wanting to lay on it with me! Without the cover on, it's also very easy to wipe off any grass or dirt. Oh, and it's also great that the cover is removeable so it can be washed. Finally, I liked it because some day, I'll eventually get those lounge chairs and I can still think of a million uses for this thing (a dog bed, guest bed, work out mat, picinic mat...)
I bought this floor mat for my autistic son who prefers to lie on the floor rather than sit on furniture. I tried a dog bed last year and a large round floor cushion just a few months ago. Both fell apart quickly. This is deceptively thin, but very comfortable and well-constrructed. He loves it. It looks nice and will last for a long time. It's a great buy.
I bought this because I do alot of yoga and meditation techniques that require me to be on the floor. Having tile floors throughout my home was really a bit uncomfortable and slippery at times for some of my yoga positions. It worked out PERFECTLY! No more cold floors or the least feeling of grit. I even found it to be pretty nice to strech out on for those times when my back is hurting. Thanks Overstock! Great product!!!
This is a GREAT mat for the floor. It is super comfortable and the top is very plush and nice. It would be great for sleeping- adults or kids. It is way better than it looks in the photo. Everyone who has seen this in my house LOVES IT!
