Looks nothing like picture
 from pacifica,ca,  Oct 12, 2007

I just got my zoe cocoon and after finally getting the filling inside the cover which was a huge mess, and then spending 20 minutes to break it apart.I find it very uncomfortable. It looks half empty. Nothing like the picture. Buyer beware this is a do it yourself kit. You could just take old pillows tear them up and stuff in bag and that would be this product.

***HUGE***
 from Texas,  May 21, 2009

I purchased this bean bag lounger for my son's bday. We all love it, very comfy! Assembly was not difficult, but very messy! Be sure to put this together in the place that you are going to keep it. I contemplated putting it together in my closet to keep it out of sight, and am SOOO glad that I did it in the living room instead! Again this bag is huge! I was a little shocked once it started to expand, and realized this won't be easily moved from his room to the living room to watch movies. The whole family uses this bag, actually I don't think that we use our couch anymore! My only complaint about this product (and the reason for my rating of 4 instead of 5) is that it does not have a a zip off washable cover. As much use as this is getting, spot cleaning doesn't quite cut it when you have 3 young boys!

extra large for sure, enough stuffing to fit, but the outer sack is very thin.. this should come with an outer cover.

Love it!
from Dallas, TX,  Mar 25, 2010

I read all the reviews before buying so I was prepared for the "mess" it would make in putting this bean bag together. It comes in a medium size box, and has two compressed bags of foam. I unloaded the foam into the bag by myself and it made a minimal mess. I love this bean bag, it is very comfortable and I have already taken several naps in it. It is a little difficult to climb out of, but the comfort of it makes up for that in my opinion. I do "fluff" it before I get into it for the first time. I also put a big black blanket over it in case something gets spilled. The only thing that could make this better would be a replacement cover.

Idea - 5 / Reality - 1
 from Kentucky,  Mar 4, 2010

This is a great idea for a product. My husband loves watching TV or playing video games in it . . . when he can use it. Unfortunately in the 2+ months we have had it, I have had to repair over 4 dozen split seams ranging in size from 1"-8" in the cover. The product has not been used roughly - the seams are straight stitched and have no serging or reinforcement to handle the 65 pounds of shredded foam filling. Just moving it can result in a huge seam rip and foam spraying everywhere. Given the type of material used and the amount of reinforcement needed to stablize the rip, it often takes 30 minutes to an hour to mend each one. We are lucky if the item can be used one or two days a week between repairs. I contacted Overstock for some remedy when 5 seam splits opened up in the first week of use. They were unable to replace the item and refused to refund my money unless I returned the product in the original packaging. I tried to explain that the foam filling was compressed for shipping and would no longer fit in the box. I tried to convey the massive size of this item. I offered to ship back the empty cover. No dice. After 45 minutes of runaround, I finally (and reluctantly) accepted a $50 account credit against a future purchase. Again, this is a great item in theory, but if you choose to order it plan on reinforcing the seams in the cover before stuffing it or you will be repairing it nightly. And don't expect Overstock to offer any sensible or responsible remedy when it explodes.

terrible quality
 from NY,  Jan 16, 2010

DO NOT BUY THIS CHAIR!!! It is extremely poor quality. It arrived quickly and assembly was not bad, but upon its first use, the seams ripped. I sewed the seam, but then my younger brother sat on it. He's only 80 lbs and and it ripped again. I turned it over to sew the other side and the weight of the chair itself made it rip again. This time it was about a foot wide. The chair's very comfortable but definitely not worth the money. I wouldn't pay over $10 for it. DEFINITELY spend the extra money for a better quality one.

The chair is great. My husband and I sit on it while we watch TV; it's so comfortable, it's actually hard to not take a nap when you're in it.

My son loved it
from Fort Meade, MD,  Jan 11, 2010

We bought it for our son, it came in a box much smaller than we expected, after opening it he let it expand for almost a week to actual size and it became huge, he can almost sleep in it. He is very happy with this beanbag, he loves it, soft and comfortable.

Problem with stitching
from Lafayette, LA,  Jan 11, 2010

Overall, the reviews offered about this chair are correct. The chair is large and comfortable, and fits well into a large space. My only problem was that the stitching on one of the seams was popped and needed to be repaired. Unfortunately, I didn't locate the problem until after all of the foam stuffing had been added and fluffed, making it difficult to repair without it being noticeable. Our chair now has one side that will always face the floor because of the noticeable stitch repair. Other than that, the kids LOVE the chair.

Horrible workmanship
from San Francisco, CA,  Jan 9, 2010

Not even a month and the seams have burst in 3 different places revealing cheap fabric and even worse seam construction. You get what you pay for.

Beanbag chair
from Canonsburg, pennsylvania,  Jan 7, 2010

We bought this beanbag chair for our son for Christmas. He wanted a love sac which was a bit out of my price range for a beanbag chair. I found this chair on line and bought it. It arrived in a large box a with two cubes of vaccum packed foam. it was easy to unwrap and place in the cover. it took about 24 hours to fully expand but when it did it was huge!!! My son loved it and so did my daughter and husband. it fits 2 -3 people on it.

Good
from Charlotte, NC,  Jan 7, 2010

A great product for kids; exactly what we thought from other reviews we read. Big, comfortable, easy to put together - need a week for it to fully open up. Kids love it - we use it too. Box was not as big as we would have thought, but that was a good thing; ships small.

We love this beanbag chair! It's huge, and very comfortable! Just make sure you have enough room for it as it does take up quite a bit of space. My only concern is that it doesn't have a removable cover for washing. Overall we are very pleased with this purchase!

Poor Quality
 Jan 2, 2010

I bought this chair for my husband so that he could have his own place to relax. When it came in we put it together which wasn't very difficult but it was messy. I took a couple of days for it to settle so that we could flip it and shape it. It was very comfortable and we were very excited about it until it started ripping at the seams. My husband patched one and then it ripped again. And again. We have moved it out of sight until customer service tells us what we need to do to return it so we can get our money back. We are very disappointed because we did love the concept and it was comfortable and the perfect size for my 6'4" husband. If you are looking for quality, I would say to spend a little more money to ensure that you will get a long lasting product.

seams are splitting!!!!
from Brooklyn, NY,  Jan 2, 2010

This Bag has a problem with the seams, they are splitting open within the first 24 hours. I have Duct tape all over it to control the foam all over the house. Waiting for Manufacturers reply on a new cover. This product should NOT be sold until the manufacturer replaces the cover with one that is of good quality.

Foam Bag
 from Missouri,  Jan 1, 2010

I got this foam bag for Christmas, and its really not what i expected. Its very heavy aprox. 65 lbs.. Also, the directions tell you to roll the bag after you put the foam in to "fluff" it, but since its so heavy the cover ripped. The cover is made very cheap. There is no liner so you cannot wash or replace the cover.Shipping was fast. But I would not recommend this bag to anyone. The chair itself is comfortable but the cover is really cheap.

Not Bad
 Dec 29, 2009

The assembly is very messy since you are breaking apart two 25 lb blocks of compressed foam pieces. They get everywhere. The chair does not have an inner liner so the cover cannot be washed without removing all of the tiny foam pieces. In the end, the chair was what we wanted for the kids playroom. It is huge and comfortable. The liner has a slight chemical smell but that is dissasapting. We had a both kids age ten and thirteen as well as myself on it watching a movie with room to spare.
