A great price for a fun rug
If you are looking for a fun accent rug, this one is a great value. It comes very close to the cowhide kind, but costs less than half the price of the real skin rugs. Granted, nobody will be fooled into thinking it is an animal hide, but it's a fun, casual rug with a good graphic and the fuzzy texture makes it look just like the real hide rugs. If you are looking for a high end rug for a living room or office, this is not the rug for you. Mine is in the guest room--it looks great and looks like it is easy to clean and maintain.

Not what I thought...
This LOOKS like a faux zebra-hyde in the pictures, but when I received it it was more like a foam matt. It was not at all what I was expecting, and I plan on returning it.

It was really fake looking....I sent it back. Very flat and one dimensional. I opted for the white sheepskin rug and love it.

This was more like a foam playrug for a children's room...like for a safari theme or something. Nothing I would put in my liviing room with my black leather sofas like I had planned. Oh well, now my son has a zebra rug for his room!

poor
the rug looks and feels like a printed foam substrate. When is was described as "poloyurethane", it's a very misleading description. All polyurethane rugs at least have a "backing". This one does not. I wuld not recommend it.

Great for a kid's room
I have this hanging in my son's room. Oddly enough I went to Earthbound Traders and found a zebra head made of paper mache. Paired with this rug, it looks awesome, an exact match.Keep in mind that this is definitely for a child's room, not a living room. We love it.

Beautiful but smelly
I purchased the faux rug because I was afraid my dog wouldn't do well with a genuine skin. The smell was almost unbearable at first, but disappeared after a few days. It has held up nicely.

Fun idea - Bad execution
This thing has off gassed in my house for a month. Bad poly/neoprene smells. It got one footprint and I had to vacuum it and now the black is gray. Maybe a moist rag to wipe instead of vacuum. Not sure it will last more than a year. But it sits under a chair in a room I never use so that is okay. This was a fun/fake piece that people say looks cool. Buy it for that. You won't like sitting on it or walking on it. It comes backed with neoprene so has 1/8 inch cushion. I didn't know that at the time. Description needs work on Overstock.
