Overstock always is amazing at getting the product out quickly. This piece is very well made, very sturdy, very solid and color look just like the picture. Assembly was a bit long (2+hours) but not difficult. The one thing you need to watch out for is making sure you get all the cam screws/holders all in, as it is easy to miss some (I missed a few that hold down the top piece on the inside middle). So far very happy with this piece!

While rubberwood isn't the highest quality of woods, and you should take some care not to scratch the surfaces, the entertainment center came out looking great and felt very solid. This unit probably doesn't need to be so deep, especially if you have an LCD TV or Plasma TV on it, but overall, the unit looks beautiful.There have been a lot of comments about the assembly process, so I'll clarify it. There are 22 wooden components to put together using 62 wooden dowels, 132 screws, 58 camlocks, 4 sets of hinges, 12 shelf support pins, and a set of drawer slides. I found the instructions to be simple and very straightforward. I managed to put the entire thing together with a small hex wrench, a small hammer (for tapping in the wooden dowels), and a screw driver in about six hours. I'm sure a second set of hands would have easily cut that down to 3 or 4 hours. Two of the pieces are quite heavy, and some of the steps can be a bit challenging if you don't have someone helping you out.While I feel the number of screws used was sometimes a little excessive, it probably contributed to the extremely solid feel of the final product.

After I read reviews on the product I felt since I am quite the Handygirl I would have very little difficulty assembling this unit. I was wrong. The instructions with the drawings were very confusing. It was difficult on some of the pieces to interpret which was the forward or backward side or which was the upward or downward side. Also, the weight of the piece made it almost impossible for me to assemble by myself, although I consider myself a strong woman. Also, some of the camlocks did not tighten correctly and so I have concerns with the unit coming apart. It has a nice look but I would not recommend this product for purchase for the above reasons.

This piece looks great, matches our other (much more expensive) dark wood bedroom furniture. My 2 year old loves to open and slam the front doors, as much as I try to get him to stop I can't- but it's held up to his abuse. It really looks nice and i highly recommend it.

Pleased with my order. Color was as described and it is very sturdy. I agree with other reviewers that you need 2 people to assemble. Also, some of the screws, etc. are cheap/poorly made, but they give you extras to combat this problem. Unfortunately the top of mine has a small crack which appeared after only a few weeks. It's not terribly noticeable yet, but time well tell if it holds up. Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable TV stand.

This is a solid, well made unit. It did take a few hours to put together, but was not difficult, just time consuming. Overall, we are super happy with our purchase. Definitely recommend!

I ordered this for an early Christmas present to myself and I'm glad I did. It looks just like the picture - very dark wood - and looks wonderful in my great room. One of the reasons I like this unit is because it is higher than most entertainment units and that is what I was looking for. My son-in-law put it together in two hours while I "supervised." I highly recommend this product!

I have been looking for a 60 inch stand for so long and when i came across this one i did not hesitate to buy it. The color is fabulous, its a nice dark wood that looks so chic and clean. The best part about this stand is that the shelves are so deep in length making a lot of space for use. The sides are also deep and roomy for storage. I specfically bought this stand for my husbands ps3 where its placed right in the center. He does not have to worry about it overheating. All our dvd movies and games go in the sides and there so much room to spare. It did take while to set up, almost 3 hours but so worth it!!

What a great find on overstock.com. I searched everywhere for a modern dark colored tv consoule with no luck. When I saw this one I wasn't sure if it would look as good as the picture. Once we put it together it is wonderful. I am very happy with the purchase and would buy furniture again from overstock. Take your time putting the furniture together and read all the directions before you start,

I LOVE this TV Stand. This unit is much nicer than any TV stand I saw at the usual furniture stores that were selling for 500+. Its a very sturdy hefty beautiful piece. It did take about 3 hours to put together, with the toughest part to get on being the top. But even with some frustration putting it together, I'd buy it again in a heart beat.

My wife and I searched tons of stores locally, and I wasn't willing to pay $400+ for cheap particle board units I found at almost every store. After some research I came across this unit and am glad I did. Solid wood except for the backing. As previous reviewers mentioned, it does take some time to put together. I put it together myself with a cordless drill and it took about 2.5 hours. Don't rush putting it together, and make sure you tighten every cam lock as you go. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again in the future, and I have had nothing but compliments from all who have seen it.

received the item with a one part broken,overstock customer service was great in replacing the part. you have to be careful or else you can damage before completing. you definitely need two people to build it. the back plywood only has one hole for cable management, had to drill two holes myself. overall it looks great but im sure you can find better

Nice piece of furniture once you get it assembled, lots of parts and the instructions are a little confusing. Allow your self an afternoon to finish it.

I purchased this piece after reading through ALL of the reviews. The piece is fabulous (see: doesn't look cheap), and is nice and sturdy! The assembly is not as bad as other reviews would lead you to believe; all of the pieces and hardware were clearly labeled with letters and numbers that correspond with the directions. None of my pieces were damaged, scratched, or dented in any way. The color is as pictured. After shopping around for a month (in area stores & on-line), I definitely feel like I got a steal with this piece- great look and quality for a great price. PROS: - Looks great! - Lots of storage - Fits a 52" flat screen - Sturdy, solid wood CONS: - None

I purchased this in May of 2009 and am just getting around to writing a review. Having used it for over a year, I can say I am pleased with how this is holding up so far. I have 2 kids and a dog....none of them are easy on anything. I searched very long for an entertainment center that looked somewhat modern, yet was functional with shelves, drawer, etc. It took me almost an entire day to put it together, but that didn't bother me. After reading the reviews from before, I figured it would take me that long since I was doing it by myself and watching the kiddos. I like the dark color. It goes with everything. The shelves are deep and I find this easy to keep clean. Right after we got it my daughter put a scratch in it by dropping our drum set nearby. Other than that, no other scratches or marks....that's pretty good for us. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice looking entertainment center, but has kids and doesn't want to spend a ton of money because they are afraid it will get destroyed.

One piece arrived broken; customer service was excellent about getting another to me at no cost however that held up assembly about a week. There is an issue with a gap between a door and the bottom piece. It probably isn't noticeable to anyone other than the assembler. If I saw that in a TV stand in a store I wouldn't buy it. You have to be very careful to keep the pieces on the packing material to keep from scratching the finish during assembly. I had to do some touch up with a black sharpie. I used a battery powered drill with a screwdriver bit vs doing it by hand. Again you have to be very careful if you do that. The assembly is not difficult; just follow the directions and don't get out ahead of yourself. Overall, I think if I had looked a little harder I could have found something locally of better quality for the price.

You'll need at least two of them to put this together, and it will take several hours. An electric screwdriver is a great idea. Straightforward directions, everything was labeled, packed securely and delivered promptly. It's solid wood (no particle board of pressed wood) so you'll need two more dwarves to move it after it's put together. It would have cost three times as much at that chain I can't mention here (but they grew up in a barn, hint). I also have the coffee table and end table. It's a gorgeous set, and that's no fairy tale!

It took a long time to assemble but it is a really nice piece of furniture.

I love this product. It is very solid and good quality furniture. I thought it would be light weight and just a stand in for a couple of years till I could afford to get something better but I ended up with something better in this product. It will be around for a long time. It is very heavy. It came in two boxes each weighing 75+lbs. Be careful.

High quality, heavy, fairly straight forward to build. My only gripe would be the color. It's halifax brown (whatever the heck that is). Judging by this pic and the others I've found on the net I expected something very close to an espresso finish but unfortunately it's noticeably lighter than espresso.
