I would have to agree with many of the other reviewers regarding the assembly. It is definitely time consuming and at times, frustrating... but so worth it!!! I am so happy with the finished product. I love the dark espresso color and the clean lines of this piece. I also have to agree with the previous reviewer- if you live alone, you will need help to move the giant boxes this furniture comes in, and ideally, to put it together. It took me and a family member about 4 hours to put it all together. My one small complaint is with the drawer assembly. At least with my materials- there were no pre-drilled holes or markings to attach the rolling track. It was just odd since everything else that required screws, etc. had places that had clear holes. Maybe mine was just a fluke.? I know it wasn't just me since I had one of the handiest people I know helping me assemble this unit. We managed and happened to have a hand drill handy to make do, and it still looks great!

Great product for the money. If you live in apt and are single, you will need help bringing the two large boxes in. I was able to put the piece together with a little blood, sweat, and almost tears--and I am a single female. I had to work out a few kinks with the assembly because some pieces were not sitting flush initially, hence the 3 star ease of assembly review. Surprised by the size, great for an apt living room.

Once put together, this unit looks of very high quality. The lines are exceptionally clean and i was surprised the drawer and doors line up so nicely as sometimes self-assembly furntiure can look lopsided and need a adjustments to keep the uniformity of the line. The cam bolts used to hold this together are not made well and an allan wrench woudln't tighten them because they aren't made well enough for the wrench to fit securely into the slot. I reinforced with wood screws. Assemly will take the better part of an afternoon but once it is done, this is a sturdy and stylish piece and an overall good value. I have a 50" plasma on top of it, which just fits. If you are planning on using a larger television, it will not look proportionate to this piece of furniture.

While rubberwood isn't the highest quality of woods, and you should take some care not to scratch the surfaces, the entertainment center came out looking great and felt very solid. This unit probably doesn't need to be so deep, especially if you have an LCD TV or Plasma TV on it, but overall, the unit looks beautiful.There have been a lot of comments about the assembly process, so I'll clarify it. There are 22 wooden components to put together using 62 wooden dowels, 132 screws, 58 camlocks, 4 sets of hinges, 12 shelf support pins, and a set of drawer slides. I found the instructions to be simple and very straightforward. I managed to put the entire thing together with a small hex wrench, a small hammer (for tapping in the wooden dowels), and a screw driver in about six hours. I'm sure a second set of hands would have easily cut that down to 3 or 4 hours. Two of the pieces are quite heavy, and some of the steps can be a bit challenging if you don't have someone helping you out.While I feel the number of screws used was sometimes a little excessive, it probably contributed to the extremely solid feel of the final product.

Just got a chance to get it assembled. I was mixed about what to expect due to the mixed assembly reviews. It went smoothly and took about 3 hours. Very nice in appearance. Looking forward to purchasing the end table.

The assembly on this thing took 6 hours for my husband and brother in law! Oh my god it took forever and some things have letters and others don't! It was nuts! The finished product was super nice! I have the matching coffee table and side table. Fits well in a small room and has tons of storage! The only down side to it is the assembly!

Assembly on this was easy. Had prior experience already when I had ordered end tables from the same company. Rubberwood is the way to go when you want darker wood plus a look of quality. Very pleased.

After I read reviews on the product I felt since I am quite the Handygirl I would have very little difficulty assembling this unit. I was wrong. The instructions with the drawings were very confusing. It was difficult on some of the pieces to interpret which was the forward or backward side or which was the upward or downward side. Also, the weight of the piece made it almost impossible for me to assemble by myself, although I consider myself a strong woman. Also, some of the camlocks did not tighten correctly and so I have concerns with the unit coming apart. It has a nice look but I would not recommend this product for purchase for the above reasons.

I must admit when I heard the furniture was made of rubber wood i was a bit nervous. The entertainment center is beautiful, it looks great, like i paid alot more for it, and it was packaged well, it took about 3 hours to put together but it was worth it.

That's right. As far as I could tell this item is real wood and has the heft to prove it. This item is heavy, once assembled, and of very good quality. I was able to load my computer, all-in-one printer, subwoofer and cable receiver into the unit. I use the drawer to hold printer paper and extra cables. Unfortunately, the rear only has one, central exit point for cables, but I modified the interior walls so that the cable and cords are mostly hidden internally. I think you can probably fit a 50" TV on top with no problem.

We are very pleased with the unit. It's the perfect size for the nook we have...there is plenty of room for extras - stereo equipment, DVD player, DVDs, CDs, etc., and the drawer is perfect to store all the extra remotes and user manuals. Looks great, very sturdy, and reasonably easy to assemble...although the instructions can be confusing (we missed step L when it was too late), we had it fully assembled within a couple of hours. The unit arrived within a week and was in great condition. I am happy with my decision to purchase the unit and would recommend it.

I agree with the other reviewers before me. This is a beautiful and solid (heavy!) piece of furniture offered for very good value. A friend and I (you will need two people) assembled it over two days because it does take a good deal of time and patience.

I looked high and low for a reasonably priced TV stand and I finally found one. I was a little weary of ordering furniture online but I am VERY PLEASED with the results. The color is a deep brown...just like the picture. The piece is heavy, sturdy and looks great. The assembly was tedious, but we got through it in about 2 hours. It took another hour to hook up components, TV, etc. The back only has one small hole to pull wires through so I suggest placing the components in first and then feed all the wires through the hole otherwise I don't know how it would be possible to wire everything if you have components in all three areas. Long story, short - I LOVE this product and it was delivered quickly... no dings, no stratches. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the back - everything else is great!

Overstock always is amazing at getting the product out quickly. This piece is very well made, very sturdy, very solid and color look just like the picture. Assembly was a bit long (2+hours) but not difficult. The one thing you need to watch out for is making sure you get all the cam screws/holders all in, as it is easy to miss some (I missed a few that hold down the top piece on the inside middle). So far very happy with this piece!
