The weight of this flatware is perfect. It is hefty enough, but still perfectly balanced. The finish is gorgeous -- every bit as shiny as in the photo. The design is modern minimalist and would work well with many table settings. My husband and I both wonder why we waited so long to replace our old flatware. We would recommend Yamazaki to everyone, and will look to them again when this set needs replacing.

I needed a good set of flatware. I was still using the cheap, big box store set I bought back in school. This Yamazaki Charade set is a huge upgrade. I was worried because I did not get to handle the flatware myself before purchasing. But, I am not disappointed. The weight and balance are very good. The design is classic enough for every occasion. And, this is probably worth mentioning, the curves and tapers in the design make the silverware feel good in my mouth.I am so glad I got this set. I am sure it will last me a lifetime.

After hours of online research, I decided to try the Yamazaki flatware. It couldn't be better made! Have dishwashed it with no problems. It has a nice balance and weighty feel. There are no manufacturing flaws unless you count the fork tines being out of align, but that's easy to straighten. These look like they could last a lifetime and the style is timeless.
