My first thought when spending over an hour just putting together this chandelier was that clearly the money I saved was the cost of labor. It arrived in about 50 pieces, and each piece was connected by a washer and nut/bolt. That would have been quite simple, except for the fact that the bolts all connected on the inside of a 3 inch cup, making it all but impossible for anyone with adult sized hands to put it together. Starting the treads on each one was quite a challenge, as space was at a premium and the length of the bolts was marginally more than the minimum required to thread the nuts on. Needless to say, I cursed the designer for over an hour until I got it all done. Once completed and hung (the easier part - standard connections and all needed hardware included), the lamp looked very nice, but it was clearly made of very inexpensive metal. Thank goodness it just hangs in the middle of the room out of reach, beacuse it wouldn't last long with the bruisers in my family otherwise. All in, a good value over similar products, but intsall is a bear. By the way, it looks much bigger in the picture than in person (the graphic is stretched along the vertical) - in other words, the proportions make it look a bit taller and more elegant than it in fact is.
