Beautiful Headboard
This headboard was easy to assemble & worked well with the black simple platform bed frame also from O. Our bed has a box spring so it does raise it up from just having a mattress on the platform which makes the headboard the perfect height. Without this it would be higher than the mattress. One thing I was very pleased about was that the headboard is adequately padded so it does make a very comfortable back rest if reading or watching tv. The black micro fiber is great but does have a nap to it so depending on which way you brush your hand on it-up or down-will change the color tone-dark to lighter. This is not bad but might like to be aware if choosing between leather or linen which has no nap. We have received several compliments on this headboard-very good looking!

Disappointing experience
The entire process was a diappointment. It took more than two weeks for Overstock to ship the headboard and when it finally arrived the hardware was missing. I had to wait another two weeks for the hardware and when that finally arrived it had the wrong parts in it. I had to go to the hardware store to get the correct bolts. On one side of the headboard, the leg holes did not match up so one leg is angled out making it tough to attach to the bed frame. The wait and the frustration was not worth the result.

This is a tremendous value for under $300! Most upholstered headboards in Queen size are over 500, especially with the nailhead trim! I ordered this three weeks ago and it arrived promptly after I received a UPS tracking#. I was particularly impressed with how efficiently packed it was-most companies waste resources using larger boxes and protective stuffing. This is essential for New Yorkers who have limited space and small apartments. This headboard arrived in a neat and compact box, perfectly protected from shipping and the elements. I assembled it in less than 15 minutes and have been enjoying it every since.
