thought this rug would have rustic yet contemorary feel but it didnt. Colors are as described well. not made for high traffic area, and mine came with "loose fringes" on the edge but i think that came from the weave not being tight enough. sent it back a.s.a.p.

This rug is more "rustic" than "shabby chic" . The suede strips are woven within a warp that is like burlap or twine in appearance. The color of the warp thread is a bit amber-tan and the leather strips are a subtle blend of light tan, grey-blue and light brown. The rug works for me in the space I wanted but it is definately a loose weave and I would not put it where it would receive much direct traffic. Very soft and a good value.

I bought the 6x8 and 3x5 - both rugs match perfectly. Beautiful, soft, thick - what a great deal.
