Low-cost alternative for retro look
I purchased these for the upstairs hallway/library of our new home and am so pleased. They blend well with our other high-end lights in the nearby rooms. I only wish I could have found more lighting bargains from Overstock during the construction of our house. I am a new fan!

Nice light
Great looking light. Glass shade is beautiful and appears expensive. Very light weight and the chrome base is probably pretty cheaply made - but once it is up on the ceiling, you would never know and it looks fantastic for a great price! The size on this is also nice - makes a big impact.

large light, classic shape
I always liked this schoolhouse design. I used two of these in my hallway to replace ugly 1978 vintage lights that look very grandma. At our previous house I had purchased this same style from a high end restoration catalog and that one was of better quality, but then it was also higher in price. Once it's on the ceiling you can't tell it's not the same heavy weight as the $$ I bought years ago. I bought a third one for the master bathroom (which is tiny - just toilet and shower).

The light is very night especially at half the price of other sites - it was bigger than i expected which is totally my fault i was going to use it for a small bathroom but its definitely too big but i decided to use it in large mudroom and its perfect -

School house lights
I bought these for my new house and they're great- very classic look and easy to install. I do have to say that the bases are shiney and not brushed like I thought they would be but I decided to install them anyway and I like how they look. They're also half the price as the big box home improvement stores!
