Story Behind the Art:
In China we take great pride in handcrafting our items. Some of our items are made in a workshop which helps to provide hundreds of jobs in the community where it is located, where work is very difficult to find. However, many of our items are handcrafted in small villages or towns, which it helps us to provide for our families without going to a large city. Most of us live very simple lives and we have been doing this type of work for many decades. The knowledge and many of our traditions have been passed down from our ancestors. It gives us much satisfaction knowing we are helping to preserve many dying arts.
There can be over twenty workers involved in molding, shaping and painting just one exquisite piece. Each item is skillfully hand-shaped, or hand-woven by master artisans. Each item is assembled together into intricate items of beauty and art. All of the pieces we create are made with great care and pride. Even the people handcrafting items in the workshop take great pride in knowing they are helping to create the heirlooms of tomorrow, while beautifying your home today.

Beautiful Panels
Was very impressed with the uniqueness of these panels since they really give a wow factor placed side by side on the wall. Was unable to give them a 5 star rating since there were small scratches around the border of the panels (which I was able to touch up) and the wire to hang the panels definetely needs to be replaced with a bracket at top to allow the panel to be flush with the wall otherwise it tilts forward about 2 inches at top. However with these modifications it is a great addition to my home

"Evening Glow" - not even close
Just like another reviewer said, the panels are dark. It certainly does not look like the images presented by Overstock. When I say dark, I mean it looks way too muddied; not bright as one would expect from the photos. Because my walls are light colored anyways, I figured I could get away with it. Despite the price I paid for the panels, I'm way too busy to return them. The hassle of having to re-package them and dropping it at UPS just isn't worth it. Besides, I still like the simplicity of the image on my wall.
