Wood Top 22-inch Single Glass Sink Bathroom Vanity

We knew we were taking a chance by purchasing this but the picture looked stunning and unique and the dimensions were right. The glass bowl is beautiful. The "wood" - not so much. Very low quality fiberboard painted to look like wood. It had small chips throughout. At every point on the wood where there was a nail or screw, the "wood" was splintered. The legs to the base needed to be assembled - it was very difficult to drill pilot holes to avoid splitting the fiberboard. Assembly of the bowl/drain was simple. We just replaced the provided washer with plumber's putty. Faucet is not included. Many standard vessel faucets will not work with this bowl since they do not reach far enough or are not high enough. Having said all of this, now that the vanity is in place, it serves its purpose. It is in our powder room. We used wood filler markers to disguise all of the splintering and have strategically placed soap dispensers and candles at key points. Guests who use this room without close inspection comment on how beautiful the vanity is. But my husband I know that we should have paid a little extra for real wood and will do so in the future.
