The product is as cheap looking as the price suggests & not made well either. Shame on me for buying it. I will stick to buying my bedding here & shop for furniture someplace else.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. It came to me with a corner broken off. I of course didn't see it until I had completely opened the box. I need a shelf so badly that I put it together anyway. Same quality as discount stores but the big name ones are cheaper.
• How accurate was the on site description of the product? Says wood....I guess I should have figured out the veneer part but I always (used to) shop overstock & never had these problems before.

I knew this bookcase would be cheap, based on the other reviews. It worked for what I wanted, but the quality was even worse than I thought. Part of the veneer on the side of the bookcase chipped off, and there were flaws and scratches on the other side. Don't get this if you want to put it in a prominent place in your home. People will laugh at you.

Why anyone would spend tons of money on a bookcase, when this Wood 3-shelf Bookcase is available, is beyond me! The craftsmanship and quality of the wood is excellent! Although I am petite and was not able to assemble it on my own, my two male neighbors/friends put it together within fifteen minutes - tops! They both said it was easy for them to assemble. Originally, I was going to paint it to match the other furniture in the room, but I ended up liking this color and the grain so well, that I left it as is. Anyone who is looking to purchase a bookcase, should definitely buy this one!

We purchased this for our son who is in college. I love that we could just send it directly to him, He was able to assemble it without any problem. It is very sturdy and well made! I was very impressed with the quality. It will do the job for a college apartment. Very pleased with the price and the speed that it arrived.

This was the first item I have ever bought from Overstock I was not pleased with. The bookcase was cheap looking with a couple places on the venure peeling. The tabs that go in the screw holes to make it look nicer won't stay in. After we received the shelf I read you can't put books or any weight on the top shelf because it is so weak. I would have sent this item back if it were not for the fact we had out of town company coming to stay in the bedroom and I had to get the books out of the box on the floor before they arrived. A few days ago I was in town and noticed a better shelf at a lock store at half the price I paid for mine, and that added to my disappointment in the product. I might add I have received my 3rd set of sheets and love them. Like I said this was the first item I was unhappy with but I suggest you not buy this at all.
