Even though is refurbished, I had an Overstock voucher so I went away to buy it, crossing my fingers, and hoping it comes out good. Arrived within 1 week. All the parts are in it. Turns out that it looks brand new, no signs of wear and tear, but without the original box. I bought this because it is probably the only one out there that fits perfectly in my carry-on luggage for traveling. Probably the max. of servings are 2. Most likely, to make oatmeal. I tested it out by cooking jasmine brown rice. Pretty good. Yes, your food may stick at the bottom because that's how a lot of rice cookers are. Don't bother with the keep warm tab. Just unplug it, keep it cover, let it sit for over 10 mins. just to let the rice to steam inside. Rice cookers are all about steaming (rice + water). Don't worry, this way, you'll learn how to perfect the art of steaming rice. Make sure you don't overflow it. Make sure you watch some YouTube videos and read a bit of the manual book. Enjoy!

Rice cooker turns to cook [amber] after 3 minutes even when the rice is not even boiling. Want to return it but a hassle to do the return.

Very impressed in general with Overstock.com. The service is very good. The second unit I bought is not working well. However, I decided to keep it and not go through the hassel of returning it....etc...

Really? $$$? This was an excellent buy at only $$$ with shipping included. Currently living in a dorm room this little baby a life saver. Ok, well maybe not a lifesaver, but it is very handy when you want a bite to eat and don't have a full kitchen... or even a kitchenette.

This rice cooker is the right size for 2 people. It makes perfect rice!

This is the perfect cooker for one or two people. The recipes provided in the booklet are really good. It's not just for cooking rice. I've made the mac & cheese twice already. Going to try the rice pudding or flan next. I love this little thing!

this is a great small rice cooker. perfect for one or two people. What I like is that it is very compact, doesn't take a lot of space. The recipe booklet is great too. Easy to clean. Did boil over on me once because I did not snap lid shut and it all boiled outside the cooker, not inside, which was great.

While I thought this would be a perfect addition to my kitchen I've yet to cook a descent cup of rice. The rice is either under cooked or over cooked I keep trying to adjust the water level and never seem to get it right. Save you're money and just go back to using a pan.
