Disappointing on several levels. Heavier doughs like French bread stall the paddles during kneading process and loaves come out lopsided. Not enough recipes in user's guide. I thought I would save a few bucks buying refurbished. I did not read fine print. When I called about the stalling paddles they would not exchange it because it was refurbished. So now I am stuck with a machine that claims to be heavy duty. I expect the motor to burn out. I do not recommend this machine. If your intent on buying it make sure you get ext warranty also. My advice, get a Breadman. I've had one of those and they are good machines.

This was my 3rd machine (same make and model) that I purchased. I purchased 2 from anothersite and returned them both. (they worked one time and then stopped working.) This time I purchased this from Overstock (new - not refurbished..) It worked for 3 times and then stoppedworking. I was really ticked off!!! I was so angry that I boxed it up and threw it out....I went back to using my old machine which works just fine. This is a lousey machine -- don't wasteyour money.

I was looking so forward to making wonderful homemade breads, especially after reading the reviews on this website. It was so disappointing when I opened up the bread machine after making a simple french bread recipe. The bread was lopsided, overcooked and stuck to the pan. The only way I could get it out was to soak it! Cleaning the paddles was not easy as there is a place where the bread sticks and it is very difficult to remove. Save your money and do not purchase this bread machine.

I bought this to make gluten free breads for my son who was recently diagnosed with a ton of allergies. This bread maker fills the house with the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread, is easy to use, and does a great job with gluten free recipes. Excellent. Also looks nice on the counter.

I have owned about 3 other bread machines in the past and they all produced great bread on a consistant bases. The Wolfgang Puck bread machine makes good bread on a hit and miss bases.The dual paddle technology does not distribute the dough evenly and so one ends up with lop-sided bread. I have also had wheat bread rise nicely and then collapse prior to the end of the baking cycle. We have had a few successes, but not the majority.For the price, the machine preformes on just a satisfactory bases at best.

This bread machine is heavy duty and I am impressed with its appearance. My only complaint is the instruction booklet. The recipes stated as 2 1/2 lb. loaves are actually 1 1/2 lb. loaves according to all other recipe books and internet recipes that I have seen. Therefore I have to adapt all recipes to make full loaves that would rise to the top of the pan which is a nuisance. My suggestion is that the instruction booklet be updated to reflect a true 2 lb. loaf.Once I use my adapted recipes from sources other tha n the included instruction booklet in this machine I have had awesome results with Cinnamon Raisin, Honey Wheat and Basic White Bread. I am very happy with this machine and would recomment it to others with some adapted recipes..

I have enjoyed this breadmaker completely! Made banana bread, pizza dough, french bread, regular white bread. Every loaf comes out perfect!! This maker is so versitile! Recipes are so easy. Just follow, no fail. Would recommend to all.

I use this bread maker everyday at least two times a day. It works great, easy to use, and makes the place smell great! We use this in our place of business and we get lots of comments from customers about how great the place smells. The bread tastes great, it makes a great snack for the staff.

Works great. Makes great bread. However, takes up lots of counter space and instructions missed one step but I figured it out anyway.

i bought this item and i could hardly tell it's refurbished. since i got it, i've been using it for about 3 times a week, and never had a problem so far. it's very easy to use and the outcome is perfect.

The design of the bread maker in general is good, but there are too serious defects. Digital display does not have backlight so even in good lighting my wife has to use flashlight to read it. Second design defect makes it unusable after warranty. Kneading plates are subject of serious stress while kneading. Because they are made of cast aluminum, pretty weak material, they cannot stand longer that warranty and get damaged quickly. On the other hand it is almost impossible to find replacement for them. I have fixed this problem by changing the design as I am a handy man, but I don’t recommend this product to those who are not.

I have used this once a week for a year and I am so glad I purchased it. I bought a bread machine cookbook and am plowing through the recipes.

When learning how to use it there were times when things burned in it. One day we went for a walk and came back to a house filled with smoke. We used a pre-made kit for the ingredients but it overflowed a little into the inside and was burning. Very scary - and stinky! We still use it after meticulously cleaning it all out and haven't had any issues since but I would NEVER leave it plugged in when we're not here again.

This works like new.. had a minor cosmetic dent (It was sold "reconditioned", so I expected worse). A bread machine for 50 bucks! Incredible deal.

I got this for my girl friend and she loves it. She's now teaching her grandchildren how to use it. Thanks for making it available!

Very easy to use and the bread comes out perfect! Makes big loaves too...big enough for our large family. We've only had it a couple of weeks and already used it several times. The only down side, which is minor, is the recipe booklet that comes with it doesn't have many recipes in it. I've borrowed recipes from friends and also internet searches. Allrecipes.com is a good source.
