I like this casserole. I decided to Christen it by cooking Short Ribs in it-- (slow cooked). It worked out just fine, kept the leftovers in it in the fridge. I was glad it was so easy to clean, though I did let it soak awhile. The handels assure safe transport from oven to table.

I was having a difficult time finding a casserole dish that was the right size - with a cover - and didn't cost a fortune. I love the shape and size. It matches everything. I've used it so many times my husband laughs at me every time I get it out. It's not super pretty, just functional. One thing I don't care for is that the nylon pads on the handles are supposed to be removed for the dishwasher. It's a minor nuisance. I forgot one time and it didn't seem to hurt anything. I haven't had any trouble with things getting stuck on as the previous reviewer suggested. I really love it.

This is one of the poorest quality baking dishes I have seen. Had I seen this in a store I would not have purchased it. The lid doesn't fit very well so what ever you cook will most likely dry out. The porcelain is not sealed around the top lip (where the lid sits) so whatever gets baked onto it, stays. Forever. I purchased both this one and the round because they were a good price and have returned them both. Don't waste your money on these.
