Wolfgang Puck BPCRM040 Elite Heavy Duty 7-quart Electric Pressure Cooker (Refurbished)

I LOVE this Pressure Cooker !!! I own my Mom's old 1950's version of a stove-top pressure cooker which was fine but it just petrified me everytime I used it (not to mention how loud the old style models are). I own other Wolfgang appliances so I felt sure I would be getting a high quality product and I was right ! My husband laughed at me because I didn't put it away for over a week when I first received it because I tried something new every night. Everything has been excellent, with the favorite so far being Barb-Q spareribs. Just put a slab in with some barbeque sauce and water turn it on for 30 minutes and you have meat that is falling off the bone !! My concern before purchasing this was how long it would take to reach the proper pressure before the cooking cycle begins and I have timed it and for example on the spareribs, it took a little over 15 minutes to reach pressure before the cooking process began, so they took a total of only about 45 minutes or so. I have also made delicious stuffed peppers and made the pork chop receipe that was in the booklet that came with it. Although mine is a refurbished pressure cooker, you would never know it as it looks brand new and came with everything as if it were new. Anybody can cook great nutritious meals starting with their 1st try ! I highly recommmend this to everyone from newlyweds to single guys on their own to older married couples !

This is my first pressure cooker. I have always been intimidated by the old fashioned kind. I was more of a crock pot type person, BUT NOT ANYMORE!! I absolutely love cooking with this pressure cooker. The first time I used it I was so amazed and I started cooking all kinds of things in it that very first day. I've made pork ribs, chicken and dumplings, black eyed peas and cabbage with polish sausage. Everything turned out great and it was effortless. You literally just put the food in, turn into lock position and set your timer. The clean up is also very easy. It's a non stick removeable pot, so you just lift it out and wash it. This is already my favorite way of cooking and I will not be without an electric pressure cooker again.

I had bought a refurbished pressure cooker from overstock 2 years ago and it was great. So when it broke I ordered another. This one arrived totally smashed. The box was smashed on 4 sides. The bottom of the pressure cooker was smashed and the motor and wires were exposed. The sides of the pressure cooker was also dented. After they reviewed pictures they refunded my money immediately.

I bought this after my last pressure cooker combo died. I understand this is a refurbished unit. Mine came with a huge dent in the side. It was not from shipping since the box was in pristine condition. The manual was a 8 x 11 photocopy that wasn't folded in half. I had to return it. I was worried about the dent (it was the size of my hand) effecting the cooking process.
