Seat height only 30.5"
This quality, comfort, and look of this barstool are all great. Very elegant looking, yet comfortable to sit in & nice swivel. These are more of an off-white. The *seat* height description in the q&a section is not correct though. Twice the overstock rep reiterates the maximum seat height to be 35.5", so I was so excited because I have a uniquely tall bar and have not been able to find bar stools this high. When I got them, the maximum seat height is only 30.5" (if that, more like 30") and they adjust to your weight when you sit on them (sinking about an inch or so). Just wanted to write in case someone is looking for a super high bar stool. I reported this to Overstock.com so hopefully they will change the answers in the q&a section.

Really nice stools wow!
I bought mine just a week ago and i like it a lot. I purchase two sets for my breakfast nook and wow it looks great. Such a great veiw near my bay window. Easy set up, and the quality of the cushioning is pretty comfortable. Easy to adjust, and really comfortable sit on.

Very classy looking set of chairs.
These stool chairs are very contemporary looking and will really bring out any boring room instantly. When people come over, they always compliment how great these look and how comfortable they are. I'm more of a function over form guy but this thing fulfills both essentially. Assembling them took awhile, but it was simple enough. I didn't have too much trouble, and the finish product is worth the hassle if there is any for anyone.

We bought two of these bar stools and love them. Only one problem, the levers on them are differant. We did not feel like it was that important to have to send one back so we kept both.

Gorgeous & easy
These came in two days and blew me away with how easy they were to assemble. They look great and aren't uncomfortable. I would purchase more if I had the room.

Bar stool
I read many negative reviews about this item before i purchased it so was kind of hesitant. I can understand if people do not take the cover off then the stool will not reach full height. I assembled the item properly with help of a friend, and it works great. The style of this chair is very modern, and the seat is also very comfortable. I am very happy that i made the decision to buy this set.

I moved into a new apartment & want some new things in the house that will compliment the space and the look. I let go of our dining table bec with the counter top in the kitchen area, I believe we wont need a dining table, after all there's only gonna be 2 people in the house. I went looking for a bar stool in the mall and furniture stores but nothing I saw really stood out for me. Until I came across overstock.com and looked into their selections. I was surprised about the vastness of their selection. This hydraulic bar stool was my 1st purchase from overstock.com and I am very happy. It looked perfectly on our kitchen counter. It was easy to assemble too. Good job!

good size stool
I recently bought a house with a bar in it as a feature to the kitchen/living room. I was really excited to find some barstools within my budget and these were perfect. They are really easy to assemble and are comfy. They adjust fine to the height of my bar. Perfect!

Looks great
I bought 4 of this barstools in white, and I love it. I love how it adjust according to the height that I want. I noticed in the befinning that it shows it goes up from a certain point to the hightest point, I clarified with Overstock and they informed me that the max height includes the top of the backrest which makes sense. I thought the it goes up that high, but I though wrong. Still I bought it and it's great! The quality is great, and I get so much raves in how nice it looks. I'm so glad I bought it.

Very pleased!
My only complaint is that I wish this chair had legs so it was easier to move. But, so far I really like this chair. I purchased it for my office. I have a tall desk I can stand while I work, but wanted a chair that fit that height so I could also sit.
