  • moist basement

I have 2 different dehumidifiers . this one was over priced ! when I first got it , it would run 4 seconds and turn off ! you need to lower the % to 35 for it to come on . then it runs

  • Not worth it

Broke within a year. Fan works but doesn't take moisture out of the air anymore! Not worth your money!

  • Mixed Reviews Wouldn't buy again

I have one in my house and love it. It has worked great for 3 years now. I talked my parents into getting the same thing. They ordered one last summer and it no longer works. They called Winix and were told they would have to pay the shipping to and from to get it repaired and if it had to be replaced they would be charged and XX% restocking fee. What a joke for something that is less than a year old and we live in a cold climate so it was only used for about 3 months since the purchase. It looks brand new. Would NEVER buy this product again due to poor customer service and poor warranty

  • Never worked

I bought this Winix unit because of positive reviews but my experience is that it doesn't work. The display recognizes humidity in the room, the unit runs briefly, then shuts off with no moisture collected.

  • Love the auto pump feature!

This dehumidifier has worked great for the short time I've hade it. As with most refrigerant containing appliances, a 24hr wait is required before plug in. Love the auto pump feature and have had no leaks. Very satisfied with this purchase....

  • What a nice unit! Great for basement!!!

I bought this item for my basement. Musty smell is completely gone for this unit. I don`t think this is a big unit, but It`s really strong and also affordable!!! I would recommend this dehumidifier!!

  • So far - ok

Connected this up to replace a very old dehumidifier I had that seemed to be always running. Set the new one up - started running right off. Checked it later and the basement humidity is fine - and it rarely is running. Haven't had to empty it yet though to test the pump which is the reason I bought it. I'll update when I use it. I'm thinking this is saving me just in electricity alone.

  • O.CO to the rescue again!

This dehumidifier is totally easy to use and has worked like a charm since I purchased it last summer. After having my basement waterproofed I still had an odor problem due to some adjacent unpaved crawl spaces. These areas aren't "wet" but would hold enough moisture to create a musty smell. This Winix dehumidifier solved the problem. With the included hose attachment inserted into the sump pump and the variety of settings available I was able to "set it and forget it"! The price of this unit made it possible for me to have a better one than I would have purchased from a box-store and it arrive in like new condition even though refurbished.

  • Works good.

Refurbished model saved over $100. There was mold in the bottom of the bucket, I added bleach water for a few hours until the problem was gone. Unit is working and removing moisture from our basement, Pump works good for saving water into jugs for my house plants. I let the bucket fill the use the pump to save the water for future use. Winix unit is less noisy than my last unit (Danby). Wheels on the bottom make it easy to move around.

  • Easy, carefree dehumidifier!

This humidifier is one of the few that offers everything. Just plug it in and decide if you want to empty the bucket (it turns off automatically when full), hook up a hose and/or use the pump which is included inside the unit...all the other models we looked at had to be separate purchase. This unit has worked great and for prolonged time with no problem. We liked it so much, we got a second one for our workshop. This is a great value for the money.

  • We have been using this for about a week. We bought this one because of the automatic pump function. We have gone through the manual several times trying to figure out why the pump does not work. Unit is set on auto pump but never pumps. Bucket fills up with water and the E3 error appears. We have reinserted the hose several times per the directions - still E3 error. We have tried to manual engage the pump - no pumping. I read other reviews and heard you have to "play" with it. What exactly does that mean? We are close to returning it.
