This wine cabinet is great not for serious wine aficonados but for more casual wine fans like myself. It has room for a modest collection of wine bottles. Mine are always rotating in and out as I drink them. I don't believe in storing wines for aaaaages because really, in the end it's just grape juice. Enjoy it while you can! Love this piece and it wasn't too hard to assemble.

This wine storage system stores lots of wine in a small space. It mounts well, just make sure you hit wall studs! The down side is that the rack doesn't have a bottle neck side and a bottle end side, so the bottles are not well settled in the rack. A casual bump or minor earthquake would probably see most of the bottles roll off this rack.

Sturdy, nice looking rack when assembled. As noted by other reviewers, assembly instructions require careful reading and patience. Some parts of the assembly are easier with two people but not impossible with just one person. The wood is lightly finished and could easily be stained another color. It could use a finish coat or, as recommended by the manufacturer, a light coating of oil (as might be used on a butcher block surface). This is a case of getting what you pay for. It is solid but there are small gaps (noticeable to the assembler but not so much to the casual observer) where some pieces join. We looked at numerous racks available at local stores as well as on-line. This was the nicest rack we found at this price point. We are considering ordering a second one.

We typically have between 6-12 or 14 bottles of wine in the house at any given time - too much to store in the fridge, yet we wanted it to be more conveniently accessed than left in a box in the closet. This rack is just what we needed. it fits nicely next to the stools at the bar. The unit allows the stored bottle to be tipped slightly forward to keep corks wet but keeps the bottles secure - they don't slip out to the front. But if you have a wine bottle that doesn't have a defined neck (more of a smooth slope from the bottle top to the base of the bottle), you might want to slip a rubber band on the neck to keep it from slipping forward.

I love the wine rack and actually ordered two at the same time and have them stacked, so that I can store 24 bottles. It looks great in my casual dining room and I have had many compliments on it. The rack does require assembly and comes with minimal instructions, but is fairly easy. I highly recommend this wine rack.
Although wine cabinets and cellars can be used for storing wine, wine racks are a better choice for keeping bottles at easy reach in a kitchen or dining room. Wine racks vary in size and material. Some mount on a wall while others sit on the table, countertop or floor. When buying a wine rack, there are many features to consider, including your overall room design and the space you have available.
While cupboards, cabinets and pantries are used to store food, it's often hard to find storage in your kitchen for extra items, such as wine bottles and electronic food processors. Rather than stuffing your kitchen cupboards to the point of bursting, use extra kitchen shelves to store or display extra items. When you begin looking for kitchen shelves, consider space, function and material. Look below to find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about kitchen shelves.
