I purchased this wine cooler after a previous wine cooler had failed after only one year. This unit is extremely quiet, and chills the bottles of wine separately in the two zones, allowing for different white and red storage temps. the racks allow for easy placement of most bottles of wine. A few wines, with unusual bottle shapes making them a wider diameter need to be placed with a space between the bottles, but that is the only weakness.

I would only say it makes more noise any other appliance in my kitchen. Does a good job keeping whites cool.

The cooler is great but it didn't specify until read through all the directions that it isn't really for white wine. It doesn't cool enough for white wine which is the main purpose I bought it. I unfortunately had a friend unpack it and he had thrown the box away or I probably would have returned it.

Love! This is so great because you can choose to chill your whites or reds at just the perfect temperature. This is a fabulous cooler at a very reasonable price!

This product arrived in excellent condition, and holds 16 bottles of wine nicely. Looks great, fits in a corner of any room. I had a probelm getting the temperature below 52, but when the cold snap hit Florida this week, the temp went down to 50. This is fine for white wine. No assembly required and easy to use. Very affordable cooler.

The fridge was the right size for our pantry -- but sleek & quite enough to keep in an open area, which is where it is until we move to our new house. When it first arrived, the top cooled to 44, but after a week or so doesn't go below 53. The bottom is at 54. This is fine for us as we don't drink whites regularly & I would pull a bottle and chill first anyway. Hold 18 bottles easily. I am happy with my buy. Good for the price.

I'm a first time wine cooler owner and I really have enjoyed this product! The picture is a pretty good indicator of how the cooler looks. It is pretty light weight (I have been able to move it myself when its empty and I'm about 120 lbs). The light can be switched on and off depending on your preference. The temperature is perfect for red wines, but not cold enough for whites in my opinion. The racks are easily adjustable, but if you have many different bottle sizes, the wines may be a hard fit when the cooler is full. It is very quiet and extremely easy to assemble once delivered. The only thing that needs to be attached is the handle and your ready to go! It looks great with the rest of the furniture in our house. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

We purchased this unit as we needed a slim under counter wine cooler. The two zones make it convenient to store reds and whites in the same cooler. The fact that it is thermo electric means that it is quieter and efficient to run is a bonus to us as well.

This is perfect for my wine collection and I love the 2 temperature zones to be able to keep my white wines a bit cooler than my reds. Also, the size is perfect. If fits great on my buffet and that way it is not taking up additional room in my small kitchen.

bought for my daughter and wanted to field test first...She won't get it, I'll buy her another as from the plug in it went right to the correct temp and so quietly. Stays +/- 1 degree and makes very little noise. Great addition to a home bar for those who drink wine. Great value for the PRICE.

I now have a place to store wine that is somewhat chilled. I like both reds and whites colder than most. With this thermo electric cooler, the room temperature dictates how cool you can keep your wine. In the summer in Phoenix, the coolest the whites are is 50 degrees, while 57-59 degrees is as cool as the reds will go. We leave the thermostat (house) at 78, and the unit is not in direct sunlight. Even if I knew this in advance, it is a good deal on a chiller for your wine and would have purchased anyway. I hope it lasts longer than my previous wine cooler (different brand). Cheers!

Just received this about 4 days ago and I love it. It looks just like brand new with not even a scratch on it. It is very quiet too - cannot even hear it running. Since I drink white wine, I set the temperature down to 45 degrees and it only took a couple of days to cool all of the wine down to that temperature and keep it there. I would highly recommend this refurbished wine cooler.

This is a great little cooler. It is very quiet, holds the temp where you set it. It accomodates the taller bottles and the wider white wine bottles just fine. I have it full at 16 bottles and everything is fitting just fine.

This little guy is one fine addition to our household! It works perfectly...just as advertized...& keeps both red & white wines at the ideal temps. Perfect size for us...holds 18 bottles & we haven't filled it up yet. The compartment for red white holds 12 & white holds 6, which is great for us since we choose red wine more often. Down here on the Gulf Coast, even with A/C the "room temp" is often higher than most wines require, so this cooler is the solution we needed to store our wine properly & enjoy it to the max! It arrived well packed, in excellent condition, & set up easily. Plus it's quiet, rather attractive, & doesn't take up a lot of space in our living/dining area. Enthusiastically recommend to anyone who enjoys wine!

so if you are a real wine geek and want to have a nice collection that is worth more than the price of the wine cooler, you might want to get a better model. this model is okay. it makes a bit of noise but overall its okay. don't use both areas for different wines. use one temp for both! you can always put your white wine in the fridge. otherwise your good reds will not be temp controlled.

Great cooler-holds both white and red wines at different temperatures. No need for an additional wine rack. Easy to set up. The fan does seem to run most of the time, but after reading the information card the fan distributes the cool air making the cooler more energy efficient. Fits perfectly by my existing counter adding counter space if needed.

This is a great wine cooler for the money. I purchased the cooler august of 2011, so I have been running it constantly for a year, during which time it has been completly full of wine. It is a pleasing unit, and I really like the temp settings on the top. It looks great sitting out in the open, ie not built into a bar or anything. I have not had one bit of problems with this, so perhaps the others just got bad units, it is quit and has no problems reaching internal temps. I keep my house 69 in winter and 71 in the summer, and at those settings, the upper chills to my setting and holds at 46 while bottom zone has no problems holding at 52. The one thing I do find annoying, is if the power blinks, the top zone where you keep whites, will reset to a neutral setting of 50 degrees, so you need to keep a check on it to make sure it did not reset during the night or while you were at work etc. I make my own wines, and found it extremely nice to keep a few bottles of each batch at a more constant and cooler temp than in my basement and ready to drink at a moments notice. As I write this review, I am drinking a glass of home made merlot that has been aging for one year, in the nice cool environment of this cooler. Its fantastic. I did hedge my bets and purchase a square trade warranty on this cooler just in case, but really it is running just as it did when plugged in a year ago. Would purchase again

We were a little apprehensive about buying this wine cooler mainly because no one had written a review for it yet, but we took the risk and bought it anyway. It's really nice. It looks great and the blue LED lights are an extra modern touch. True to form, it does keep the reds at one temperature and holds the whites at another. My only gripe is that on our unit, the two doors don't match up at the same height - one door is about 1/8th to 1/4th of an inch lower than the other one; however, it is hardly noticable.

Bought this wine cooler and thought it would be perfect. Thermoelectric is an energy saver, it was supposed to be quiet (although online reviews told us it wasn't "whisper quiet") and with the dual zones, we could store reds & whites at the appropriate temps. But hubby was happy, so I was happy. . . Then we realized that it never stopped running. Contacted EdgeStar, they told us this was normal for the unit. The sound got louder. The smell started. EdgeStar told us this was typical for the "breaking in" period and we should move the unit to a place where it had more room (as opposed to the 2" of clearance it had, which was twice the required amount). The burning smell got so bad that I kept unplugging it. Finally, it died, after only 4 months. EdgeStar spent 6 months jerking us around, sending out various circuit boards (none of which worked), then told us we were out of luck because the unit was out of warranty. Do NOT buy this unit! At this point, I'm looking for a replacement, but don't even trust EdgeStar as a manufacturer anymore.

love the fridge- except that long white bottles do not fit
Keep your favorite vintage cool and fresh for years to come and buy wine coolers for your home. Whether you want under-counter wine coolers to keep bottles at your fingertips or an electric wine cooler to store in your basement or pantry, the following suggestions will help you find the perfect storage options for your wine. Read on for tips on buying the best wine coolers for your home.
You don't need an expensive wine cellar to properly store wine. A basement or closet with a few wine racks can provide a sufficient wine storage area, or you can opt for a wine cooler. Wine coolers are small, temperature- and humidity-controlled refrigerators fitted with wine racks. Some wine coolers allow you to set different temperatures for different wines.
Wine refrigerators, also known as wine coolers, are made to chill wine to the appropriate temperature. Regular refrigerators are subject to constant activity, which causes the temperature to fluctuate. This is not appropriate for wine, which must be stored at a constant temperature. While wine cellars are still the best option for storing wine and are ideal for those with an extensive wine collection, wine coolers are affordable and adequate for those with a small collection of wines.
