I bought the black table, and it is gorgeous. It looks better than the photo, but the distressed look is well represented in the photo. The whole piece is rustic but also somewhat crude (pine joints are apparent on close inspection etc.), but it is a very consistent piece - design, construction, and finish. If this specific look suites your tastes the table is perfection, as is the case for me. If not stay way. The top is awesome (some waves in the surface, again consistent with overall look). Regarding the cost/value, given what I said above I think this is a good value. However, if you do not put high value on the consistent design, fabrication, and finish then this table will appear over-priced to you. There are much cheaper tables out there that are functionally similar.
The table itself is very nice. Solid wood, nice finish; less "muddy" looking than the pic. Assembly is just 2 bolts, but mine were defective. After Overstock offering virtually no help, we fixed the problem ourselves. May have to question purchasing furniture from Overstock again, since they don't seem to stand behind their product...
Wow! Wow! This is a gorgeous table. I looked at hundreds of side tables and when I saw this I knew it was the one. It is twice what I wanted to pay but worth every penny. It came by freight and was delivered to my door. It was packed beautifully in one large box with 2 separate boxed inside. It was packed so well I knew there wouldn't be any damage. Super easy to attach the top to the base, they included the 2 bolts with an Allen wrench to tighten them. It looks just like the picture only better. It is rustic yet classic and has a modern vibe. It is the finishing piece for my updated living room and I couldn't be happier. My Hudson dining table and seagrass rugs from the O are great too.
