We purchased a townhouse 9 months ago, there were no window treatments. The trim in this house is called 'Almond', not white so I didn't want to go with traditional 2 in faux wood white blinds. I purchased different styles of bamboo for 5 rooms! For the windows we hung white pull down shades for privacy and to keep out the light when needed. This style is in my living area, 2 windows and a set of french doors that lead out to the porch. I love the brown tones in them so much.I was concerned going with brown bamboo rather than 2 in blinds they would bring the rooms *down* color wise but they look so nice with the sunlight shining in. The amount of light they let in is perfect, I have gotten so many compliments from my neighbors. I read in the reviews these are not for complete privacy, I agree, they are not! From being outside and at my neighbors townhouse across from ours, I can't really see inside during the day but they offer no privacy at night with any lights on inside. Very glad we have the pull down shades behind them on the windows. I was going to get shears for the french doors but went with lined panels. Highly recommended, I can tell the shear curtains would not have provided much more privacy where I live. I have always had white blinds in homes where we lived, maybe its because we moved to FL, but I love the bamboo as much as the day we put them up! I would not go back to white blinds if they were free. My only mistake was I ordered them an inch too wide. I triple measured the openings of each window but did not notice to take into account the extra wood trim inside the window frame that is about 1 inch deep from the interior wood trim on the walls. If that makes sense. It resulted in us having to do an outside mount instead of inside like I wanted. Big positive on that is I am sure the roll down shades would not have fit as an inside mount if these had not been mounted outside. We still have stuff in storage, I ran across a cream colored shear panel the other day, I draped it across the top of one of the bamboo shades, like a swag, it looked great, it would be perfect if I could find my other shears! All in all, I love them, recommend them if you are wanting to try a different look, shear panels draped across the top looks so good with an outside mount. Shears can be economical, plus you can put up any length or color : ). My kids room has a bright green, found them on sale for $5 each at a department store.

This was a great find. I have styled my dining room with a Tuscan flair. I have beautiful up/down wood blinds and didn't need full drapes. So I ordered my drape fabric from Vogue's and will use these swing arms for drapes on each side of my three windows which sit in a cluster on one wall. If I want to open the windows I can easily swing the drapery arms away from the window to allow full flow of air through the open windows without the drapes getting in the way. Wonderful product!

I love these drapes, you can't beat the quality for the price. My only complaint is the top . I wish they had some buckram attached to the top of the drapes so I could attach hooks and use wood drapery rings (I don't like the ring/clip combo) I did find some iron-on buckram, to stiffen up the top and hold the hooks. They are the best. The faux silk adds a understated shimmer.

Finally found these during a LONG search for replacement curtains for our bedroom. Wanted the look of silk dupioni, without the cost four full-length panels would have cost. Other faux silk panels looked cheap, and/or were unlined. Bought two pairs in ivory, hung w/wooden drapery rings, and they look gorgeous. They hang nicely-- as expected for the price, they are not thick or 'luxurious', but they are not stiff, either. We're very happy w/this purchase and love how they finish the room!

I ordered these blinds for a dining room window. I was somewhat concerned that they would not be formal enough for the room, but behind my drapes, they look great. The wood color (I ordered pecan) is as it was pictured. I had been getting a great deal of afternoon sun through my draperies, and was looking for blinds that would minimize the sun, but not "cheapen" the look of the room. These were the perfect choice. Everyone has commented on how beautiful they are, and I have noticed a huge difference in the temperature of the room in the afternoons...much cooler. They installed easily as well. Wonderful product for the price.

These are great drapes - I wanted something to keep the spotlights on the garages across from my condo from streaming in my bedroom window - I have 2 inch faux wood blinds on it, but the light still sneaks in on the top & sides. These drapes absolutely prevent any light from filtering into the room. Love my dark room for sleeping & they work great for keeping the bedroom warmer in the winter & I'm sure that they will work for keeping the heat out in the summer. Quality is excellent, no odor to them & the finish on the drapes is extremely nice & classy. For the quality, you'd expect the price to be more but as usual Overstock "saves the day".....

I am so impressed with these curtains--they are beautiful, the quality is excellent, and look like they cost so much more than they did. In fact, they look better than the custom drapes they are replacing that cost at least five times more! They look substantial (they have considerable weight and heft); the weave is beautifully done, they hang very well and you would never know they were not linen. I would call them classic but fresh and they would work equally well in a traditional, transitional or modern room--in any setting, really. At night they look like a true white. During the day, depending on the amount of sunlight and the time of day they look white or ever-so-slightly ivory. I do not see a yellow cast at all. They let a little bit of light in (but they are not advertised as blackout) which is consistent with a heavy linen. I hung them on a wooden pole/wood curtain rings using drapery pins that I stuck through the back tabs and into the back layer of the curtain header. You will not be disappointed in these.
