i didn't use the mirror yet . it didn't come with any instructions.
I was happy with the quality of the mirror. The assembly did not take long. They are small mirrors and the side mirrors are more for look than for use, but I bought two- one above each sink in the master bath- and they look very nice. To make up for the small size, I bought a full length wall mirror and put it adjacent to the sink (you can get one for $20 or less). The knobs on the mirrors- which look like double doors when closed- are shiny round silver which matched my new chrome faucets. They also help keep the counter clear since we leave contacts and toothbrushes on the shelf. The price was very good. I would recommend.
The dimensions in the on-line product description are reversed. The mirror is 30 inches WIDE when open and 24 inches HIGH. We were surprised at how small it was. The 5 inch depth is correct. A good portion of the entire assembly is the open shelf. The entire piece is only about 15 inches wide when closed. The frame around the mirror is 1 - 1.5 inches which makes the side panels have very limited viewing space. It is OK for most people but not for someone with limited vision. It is a good value for the price, but so much smaller than we expected. We thought from the description that it would be 30 inches high and 24 inches wide, but instead it is about 24 inches high and 15 inches wide. Quite a difference!
The first disappointment I had was the size. I was expecting the actual mirror part to be larger, but it still does the job. The second disappointment was one side where you attach the side mirror, all four holes were stripped so I had to go out and buy longer screws to get it to hold.
